Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Seville apartments, and this little gem on Calle Mateo Alemán honestly surprised me. You know how sometimes places sound too good to be true in their listings? Well, this one actually delivers. The owner clearly put real thought into the renovation – I’m talking about those small touches that matter, like proper water pressure in the shower and blackout curtains that actually block out the Andalusian sun when you need that afternoon siesta.

The location is what really sold me though. You’re tucked into the old town but on one of those quieter residential streets that locals use as shortcuts. I mean, you can walk to the Cathedral in maybe eight minutes, but you’re not dealing with the constant hum of tourist groups outside your window. The building itself has that classic Sevillian charm – thick walls that keep things cool even in summer, though fair warning, there’s no elevator if that matters to you. What I loved was how the apartment manages to feel both historic and completely modern. The kitchen is actually functional (shocking, I know, for a European city center rental), and there’s proper WiFi that doesn’t cut out every time your neighbor turns on their TV.

Here’s the thing about staying in this neighborhood – you’re walking distance from some seriously good tapas bars that haven’t been completely overtaken by tourists yet. There’s this little place around the corner on Calle Castelar where the locals go for their evening vermut, and honestly, stumbling onto spots like that is what makes Seville special. The apartment itself sleeps comfortably, and I appreciated that they didn’t try to cram extra beds into every corner just to squeeze in more guests. Sometimes less is more, you know? The only minor downside is that parking can be a bit of a hunt if you’re driving – this is old town Seville after all, where streets were designed for horses, not cars. But really, you don’t need a car here anyway. Everything worth seeing is walkable, and when your feet get tired, there are plenty of cafés where you can rest with a cortado and watch the world go by.

  Apt. Was in a great location and maoura was lovely.
  
  The apt was clean at first sight but the sheets, windows, curtains, couch and seats were filthy. There was a yellow stain on the bed spread.
  
  There was only one set of sheets and towels. There was very little necessities and we needed to get more toilet paper in shops..
  
  The bins had to be put out at night but with no clear instructions .
  
  Nice apt if it was cleaned properly and fantastic location but too expensive for the lack of amenities provided.

  уютная квартира на первом этаже. имеются все удобства, все необходимое оборудование, много кухонной посуды, удобная постель, центральная система кондиционирования воздуха, быстрый интернет. рядом 3 супермаркета, кафе и бары. 5 минут пешком до центра. служба поддержки отвечает оперативно.
  
  What could be improved: по вечерам с улицы доносится шум, разговоры проходящих мимо окон людей. окна приходится держать закрытыми. на прилегающей улице нет мусорных контейнеров – пришлось узнать у поддержки где находится ближайший мусорный контейнер.

  Todo ha estado perfecto. Buena ubicación, cómodo, muy buen estado y equipado. Por poner algo que quizás nos haya gustado menos, es que esté en planta calle. Pero no es un problema. Está dentro de una comunidad que tiene su propia entrada con una zona común, de la propiedad.
  
  Totalmente recomendable. Un acierto.
