RentalSevilla San Juan de La Salle Overview
So I’ve stayed at RentalSevilla San Juan de La Salle a few times now, and honestly, it’s become my go-to spot when I’m in Seville. The location on Avenida San Juan de la Salle might not sound glamorous – it’s in the Macarena neighborhood, which most tourists completely overlook – but that’s actually what makes it perfect. You’re about a 15-minute walk from the Cathedral and all that tourist madness, but you get to experience Seville like an actual person lives there. There’s this little bakery just two blocks down that opens ridiculously early (I mean, who needs croissants at 6 AM? Apparently I do), and the whole area has this authentic neighborhood vibe where people are just going about their daily lives.
The hotel itself feels more like a really well-run apartment building than your typical sterile chain place. The rooms are spacious – and I mean actually spacious, not “European spacious” where you can barely open your suitcase. Everything’s clean and modern without being pretentious about it. What I really appreciate is the attention to practical stuff that matters when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The AC works properly (crucial in Seville summers, trust me), there’s decent storage space, and the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes. The staff genuinely seems to care about helping you figure out the city rather than just processing your check-in. Last time I was there, the guy at reception drew me a little map showing the best route to avoid the crowds when walking to the Alcázar – that kind of local knowledge you just don’t get at the big hotels.
You know what really sold me on this place though? The neighborhood comes alive in the evenings in this completely organic way. There’s no manufactured “nightlife district” feel – just families out for walks, locals grabbing drinks at the corner bars, kids playing in the small plazas. It’s the Seville that exists when the tour buses go home. The walk back from dinner in the old town is actually pleasant because you’re moving away from the chaos, not deeper into it. Plus – and this is huge if you’re renting a car – parking isn’t a complete nightmare like it is closer to the center. The 4-star rating feels about right; it’s not trying to be fancy, just really good at what it does. At an 8.2 rating, you’re getting solid value without any nasty surprises. I keep coming back because it strikes that sweet spot between comfort and authenticity that’s surprisingly hard to find in a city that’s become as popular as Seville has.

Kay from New Zealand – 8 May 2025 (9/10)
It is a very lovely apartment with two separate bedrooms, lounge, close to supermarkets and restaurants, close to bus stops. The apartment was clean, great to have washing machine, and iron. It was warm, very comfortable and of a generous size with the balcony. Having the fridge and freezer was convenient. The microwave and oven for cooking was great. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of towels for use. It was very helpful to have a clothes rack for drying our washing on the balcony. The crockery, cutlery and glassware were great as were the pots and pans. It was nice to have a balcony that you could sit outside on and enjoy an expresso from the machine in the apartment. The iron was useful, and there is a dishwasher machine in the apartment. It was great to have clothes wash and dishwash tablets supplied.
What could be improved: Everything was great but it would have been very good to have dishwash and cloth and scrubbing pad to do the dishes (we had to supply our own and chose not to use the dishmaster). Then it is easy to keep the kitchen area really clean and tidy.
A toaster and electric kettle for making a cup of tea would be great to have. Some lights in the bedrooms did not work (new bulbs needed). The handbasins need plunged as the water drains out slowly.Finn from United Kingdom – 31 March 2025 (9/10)
The property was very modern and clean, lots of facilities, included soap and toiletries, towels and had basic cleaning supplies. Lots of space and really aesthetically pleasing. The owner replied via message very promptly and was kind.

What could be improved: Lack of storage, no drawers to place clothes in. Huge wardrobes but no shelvesChok from United Kingdom – 5 March 2025 (8/10)
The place was fine, but there's a strong sewage smell

Comfortable space and beds in the accommodation, close to supermarkets and not too far from the center. Reasonable price for the time we went.
What could be improved: There were not enough coffee capsules, to be exact only 2 and no water for the first night. There were not enough glasses, kitchen paper etc. The towels the first time they told me that they would charge 3 euros per person for changing towels in 4 days of stay! Very measured in general in all the materials of the accommodation!Andrzej from Poland – 25 October 2024 (9/10)
This is a quite new apartment with dishwasher and washing machine. The apartment is located outside the city center, but there are two bus lines (12,16) nearby with direct connection to Pl. Ponce de León which is downtown. The street is quiet, thus there is not much noise. Within couple of minutes walk there are three supermarkets, three fruit and vegetable stores and couple of bars with tapas. Somewhat further (Av. Miraflores) there are more restaurants.

The apartment was well cleaned, was very modern and spacious. Overall it was a great apartment. The beds and pillows were also very comfy and the kitchen well equipped. Super recommend if you're looking for a good place to stay. The check-in was easy and the host very communicative.
What could be improved: The location was not great. Not too close from the center and the public transports weren't that accessible. Also, there's a fee for late check-out (22h-00h) that wasn't our case, but we couldn't understand the reason why, since the whole process was using codes and locks.Ivana from Serbia – 20 June 2024 (9/10)
Apartmant was new. Everything was clean and spacious. Having two bathrooms when you come in group in big plus!

The view, the area, the spacing.
What could be improved: Just the smell of bins at the entrance
