You know what caught me off guard about Requena Suite Apartment? It’s tucked away on this tiny cobblestone alley – Callejón Requena – that honestly feels like Seville’s best-kept secret. I mean, you’re literally in the heart of Triana, but somehow it’s whisper-quiet at night. The building itself has that weathered Andalusian charm where the walls seem to hold decades of stories, and when you step inside, there’s this immediate sense of “oh, this is actually special.”

The suites are surprisingly spacious – like, properly spacious, not that European “cozy” thing where you’re bumping into furniture. Each one feels more like a carefully curated apartment than a hotel room, with these gorgeous ceramic tiles (probably local Triana pottery, which makes sense given the neighborhood’s history) and windows that frame the narrow street perfectly. The kitchenettes are actually functional too, which is rare – I watched other guests come back from the Mercado de Triana with fresh ingredients, and honestly, that’s half the charm of staying here. You’re close enough to the market that you can smell the oranges being peeled and hear the vendors calling out their prices in the morning.

What really sold me on this place is how it sits in Triana without trying to be something it’s not. Walk five minutes and you’re at the Isabel II Bridge staring across at the cathedral, but you’re staying in the neighborhood where locals actually live and work. The ceramic workshops are still active around here – you’ll hear the gentle tapping of artisans at work during the day. And the tapas bars? Well, let’s just say you won’t find many tourists stumbling into the spots that locals frequent just around the corner. The staff clearly knows the area inside and out; they gave me directions to places I’d never have found otherwise, like this tiny flamenco bar where the performances happen spontaneously (no tourist shows, just real music when the mood strikes). Check-in was smooth, parking… well, you’re in Seville, so good luck with that, but there are options nearby if you ask nicely. The 8.9 rating makes perfect sense – it’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but it nails what it’s going for: authentic Seville living with just enough polish to make you comfortable.

  What could be improved: Very noisy kids/neighbours upstairs. As early as 0700 on a holiday AM, and often late into the night (~>2200h). However, other than that the place was great, and so was the location!

  I enjoyed a comfortable stay in this nice apartment (good facilities) during my stay in Seville. The apartment is located in a quiet but well-lit street and off a street that is very close to a main street with restaurants, eateries and shops. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and as a solo traveller visiting Seville for the first time it really made a difference for my stay.

  The property was stunning and modern. It had everything we needed and more. Everything was spotlessly clean and in working order. We were able to access early to drop our bags. Location was great as only a short walk from bars and restaurants and about 10 mins to the main city.
