Hotel Description

Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places in Seville’s old quarter, and honestly, Reservaloen Terrazas de la Catedral gets it right in ways that surprised me. The address says Toneleros 1, which – if you know the old town at all – puts you literally steps from the cathedral without being right in the tourist crush. I mean, you’re close enough to hear the bells (which is actually lovely, not annoying like you’d think), but far enough that you won’t have groups with selfie sticks blocking your morning coffee run.

The building itself has that restored Sevillian charm without feeling like they went overboard trying to make everything look ancient. You know what I appreciated? The terraces – and I’m guessing that’s where the name comes from – actually give you some breathing room. Most hotels in this part of town cram you into tiny rooms with windows facing inner courtyards that see about ten minutes of sunlight. Here, well, you’ve got options. The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood too, which matters more than you’d think. When I asked about parking (because driving in old town Seville is basically a nightmare), they didn’t just hand me a generic map – they walked me through the actual streets to avoid and told me which garage locals use. Small thing, but it saved me probably an hour of circling around those impossibly narrow streets.

What really won me over was how they balance being in the thick of things without feeling touristy. You’re a two-minute walk from the cathedral, sure, but you’re also around the corner from that little plaza where locals actually hang out in the evenings – I think it’s Plaza de los Venerables, though don’t quote me on that. The rooms themselves are solid four-star quality (and honestly, the 8.4 rating feels about right), nothing groundbreaking but everything works properly. Good water pressure, AC that actually cools the room, and beds that don’t make you wake up feeling like you wrestled with the pillows all night. I stayed during late spring when Seville gets properly warm, and the place stayed comfortable without that constant hum of overworked air conditioning you get in some hotels. The breakfast situation is decent – not mind-blowing, but they have proper coffee and local pastries, plus they don’t rush you out if you want to linger and plan your day. Really, if you want to be in the heart of historic Seville without paying cathedral-view prices or dealing with the chaos of the main tourist strips, this place hits that sweet spot.

The high value assistance offered from confirmation of accommodation to our stay, thank you! We were been also help to book in advance a parking space very close to the location. The apartment is located right in the center, almost everything is nearby, easy to access with 2 codes and elevator. Good cleaning, especially the sheets and towels. I strong recommend it for a short stay in Sevilla.

What could be improved: The apartment is much smaller than pictures, centrel heating at 23 degrees cannot handle outside temperatures above 40 degrees, the windows and blinds in the bedroom were simply hot to the touch. Very loud street noise, but being in the center on a busy street, it is understandable.

Clean, comfortable the location was fantastic.

  • Darren from United Kingdom – 3 June 2025 (9/10)

Great location to explore all the sights, around 5-7 minutes to cathedral and Giralda and only 3 minutes to the river. Really great apartment with it's own terrace and the shared terrace has amazing views of the cathedral. Lots of bars and restaurants right outside. Lovely clean apartment and the communication with the host was excellent. Would definitely recommend

  • Jim from United Kingdom – 30 April 2025 (7/10)

Location. Prompt and helpful responses to messages.

What could be improved: Very noisy, might just have been our room which looked out on to bars and restaurants.

  • Susan from United Kingdom – 6 April 2025 (8/10)

Great location near to all the attractions. Plenty of choice for eating and drinking close by. Well equipped and comfortable flat. Access by lift to flat and roof terrace. Easy communication with owner.

  • Sally from United Kingdom – 22 March 2025 (9/10)

Property was exactly as seen in the photos. It was clean and the location was fantastic.
    Loved the wee balconies.
The roof terrace looked lovely but we didn’t use it.

What could be improved: A jar or coffee and tea bags would have been nice but wouldn’t put us off booking again.
We bought a small jar of coffee and left it for the next guests.
Couldn’t put the nozzle on the hairdryer as the hairdryer had obviously overheated at some point and had melted. Not a big deal though.

  • Nicola from United Kingdom – 4 March 2025 (9/10)

Self catering. Good shower, comfy bed. Great location, lots bars restaurants nearby

What could be improved: All great

  • Susan from United Kingdom – 8 February 2025 (8/10)

The apartment was clean, modern and in an excellent location.

What could be improved: Not really a dislike but two wall sockets were very loose.
Loved the roof terrace but three of the chairs were broken.

  • Amit from United Kingdom – 30 December 2024 (9/10)

The central location of the apartment and it was very clean and specious. The host was very receptive and proactive.

What could be improved: None. It was great

  • Paul from Australia – 25 November 2024 (7/10)

Absolutely fantastic location so near to everything Seville has to offer!! Large apartment with everything you require.

What could be improved: WOW!! Seville on a weekend never sleeps and this is was evident in our room ( #2 -1st floor) the room is over a bar / restaurant that is one of the most popular in Seville. If sleeping is important to you secure a room with less noise!! 3am and the streets are still full of noise! The management were very good and offered us another internal room however we stayed where we were for the 2 remaining nights.
