Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Reyes Católicos Suite Apartment? The name makes it sound way more formal than it actually is. I mean, yeah, it’s named after the Catholic Monarchs and all that historical stuff, but when you’re walking down Calle Segura in the old town, it feels more like you’re staying at a friend’s really well-appointed place than some stuffy hotel.
The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Seville rather than just visiting. You’re literally in the heart of the old quarter – I could hear the clip-clop of horse carriages from the tourist routes, but it wasn’t annoying, more like atmospheric background noise. The street itself is pretty quiet, which surprised me because you’re so close to everything. Cathedral’s practically around the corner, and you can walk to those tiny tapas bars on Calle Mateos Gago in maybe three minutes. No need to figure out the bus system or worry about getting back late at night, which is huge when you’re out exploring those winding streets that all look the same after a few glasses of manzanilla.
What really sold me on the place was how it strikes this balance between feeling authentically Sevillian and actually being comfortable for someone who’s used to modern conveniences. The apartment setup means you get proper space to spread out – none of that cramped hotel room situation where you’re living out of a suitcase. I actually used the kitchen a few times, picked up some jamón and cheese from the market nearby and had breakfast on the little balcony. The whole building has this old-world charm without being run-down, if you know what I mean. Clean, well-maintained, but with those thick walls and shutters that keep things cool during the day. And honestly, that 8.9 rating makes sense – the only minor thing I’d mention is that the WiFi could be stronger, but let’s be real, you’re in Seville’s old town, not a business hotel. The check-in was smooth, the owner clearly knows what they’re doing, and there’s this attention to detail that you notice – good linens, proper water pressure, little touches that show someone actually cares about the guest experience. If you’re the type who wants to duck into your own space between wandering around the Alcázar and getting lost in Santa Cruz neighborhood, this place gets it right.

The location was perfect for our stay. It was right around the corner from Triana Bridge and a supermarket where we could purchase snacks and essentials. It was super easy to walk to all of the main attractions and to the old town. It's a great size for a couple and it had a well stocked kitchen (dishes, flatware, appliances, etc). The bedroom was situated facing an inner courtyard so was quiet to sleep and had blackout screens so was nice and dark as well. We would definitely stay here again!
What could be improved: There were few things to not like. The washer does leak when you use it and it would be helpful to have a roll of paper towels but not a deal breaker. Everything was great.Svitlana from Ukraine – 4 March 2025 (9/10)
