You know what caught me off guard about Rivero Suite Apartments? It’s actually tucked away on this narrow cobblestone street that feels like stepping back in time, but inside it’s completely modern and thoughtfully designed. I mean, Calle Rivero itself is one of those streets where you can hear the clip-clop of horse-drawn carriages going by in the morning – honestly, I thought that would be touristy and annoying, but there’s something oddly charming about it when you’re having your coffee.

The suites themselves are proper apartments, not just hotel rooms with a mini-fridge shoved in the corner. Full kitchens that actually work (I made pasta one night because, well, sometimes you just need a break from tapas), decent-sized living areas, and – this is key – really good air conditioning. Trust me on this one, because Seville in summer is no joke, and I’ve stayed in places where the AC was more decorative than functional. The building itself has that classic Sevillian architecture with the internal courtyard, but they’ve done the renovations right – you get the old-world charm without the creaky floors and questionable plumbing that sometimes comes with it. What really sold me was the location, though. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Cathedral (and I mean a proper leisurely stroll, not a rushed tourist march), but you’re on a quiet enough street that you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of tour groups under your window. The Alcázar is right there too, and honestly, being able to pop back to your room midday when the crowds get intense is a game-changer.

Here’s the thing about staying in Seville’s old town – parking is basically a nightmare, but the staff here actually knows which lots to recommend and when they fill up. Small detail, but it matters when you’re dragging luggage around in 95-degree heat. The neighborhood has this perfect mix where you’ve got your tourist essentials within walking distance, but you’re also near where locals actually hang out. There’s this little bar around the corner – I think it’s called El Rinconcillo, claims to be the oldest tapas bar in the city – and whether that’s true or not, their spinach and chickpeas are worth the visit. The only minor thing I’d mention is that some of the suites face the street, and while it’s generally quiet, you do get the occasional late-night reveler, especially on weekends. But honestly, that’s part of the charm of staying in the heart of a living, breathing city rather than some sterile hotel district.

  What could be improved: taxi can't take you to the entrance – you will have to walk about 5+ mins, which is generally ok however not as convenient with small children and big luggages. the unit we were on is on the 2nd floor and there's a few flights of stairs.
  although generally clean, I thought the floor was a little dusty (only pointed this out as I had a crawling baby and found his hands and knees dirty post crawling)

  Amazing apartment, very large, comfortable, and excellent location. The check in and check out was very simple and easy and the staff was nice and even gave us some recommendations. Will absolutely stay here again when visiting Seville.
