Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about the Rodrigo de Triana? It’s tucked right into this residential stretch of Calle Rodrigo de Triana where you can actually hear normal Seville life happening – kids playing in the evening, neighbors chatting from their windows, that sort of authentic stuff you miss when you’re stuck in the tourist bubble near the cathedral.

The Courtyard by Marriott brand usually plays it pretty safe, but honestly, this one gets the location so right. I mean, you’re in Triana – the neighborhood that feels like the real Seville – but you can still walk to the historic center in about fifteen minutes. Cross the Isabel II bridge (locals call it the Triana bridge) and boom, you’re at the cathedral. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize: staying in Triana means you get to experience the neighborhood where flamenco actually lives and breathes, not just the touristy tablaos. There’s this little ceramic shop just down the street where this old guy still hand-paints tiles the way his grandfather did, and honestly, watching him work for a few minutes was more memorable than half the official sights I hit.

The hotel itself feels surprisingly intimate for a chain property – that courtyard setup really works. Rooms are what you’d expect from a four-star place, clean and comfortable, though the street-facing ones can get a bit noisy on weekend nights when the bars down toward the river get going. But that’s Seville for you, especially in Triana where people actually live their lives out loud. The staff genuinely seems to know the neighborhood – when I asked about where to grab breakfast, the guy at the front desk didn’t just point me to the hotel restaurant but actually recommended this tiny place around the corner where construction workers grab their morning coffee and tostada. Best decision I made all trip, honestly.

What I really appreciated was how the hotel sits in this sweet spot where you feel connected to actual Seville rhythm but you’re not dealing with the chaos of staying right in the Barrio Santa Cruz where tour groups start marching past your window at 8 AM. Here in Triana, mornings start slower – you hear the market vendors setting up down toward the Mercado de Triana, maybe some flamenco guitar drifting from someone’s balcony. The 8.8 rating makes sense because it’s not trying to be fancy in that artificial way some hotels do. It just works really well for what it is: a solid, comfortable base in a neighborhood that still feels like itself. Plus, parking is actually manageable around here if you’re driving, which – let’s be real – is not something you can say about most of central Seville.

  • Jacquelyn from United States – 21 March 2025 (9/10)

Very nicely furnished comfortable apartment with a full kitchen that we enjoyed cooking in and on sunny days we enjoyed the little private courtyard/garden. Great location for walking to anything you need – groceries, cafes and sightseeing, yet fairly quiet.

What could be improved: The beds were stiff – could use a foam topper. Also, I have stayed in numerous private apts and homes in many countries and am used to the owners providing the basics for cooking so that you don’t have to purchase things like tea, cooking oil, sugar, and a few basic spices. The apt only had salt & pepper.

  • Nascarmike from United Kingdom – 7 March 2025 (9/10)

The apartment was spacious, very clean and had all the amenities that you would need. Located in a residential area of Triana, that was opposite a small square which had 3 local cafes, which all were very good, friendly and good value for money. No problem with sleeping, very quiet. Location was good being approx 5 – 10 minutes walk to the bridge. Easy to find. Recommended 👍

What could be improved: Unfortunately the power to our apartment went off, had to phone the telephone number provided and took about 40 minutes to resolve, as we couldn't find the fuse box, which should have been marked accordingly.

  • Nelson from Portugal – 31 December 2024 (9/10)

Excelent location in Triana, only need to walk 10 minutes to the city centre. Triana is also a very nive location to dinner, best value for many restaurants
Apartment is nice and have all necessary conditions.

What could be improved: Air conditioning in rooms ok but in living room was not working.

  • Terry from United States – 25 July 2024 (9/10)

The location in the Triana district is perfect. It is easy to walk to most Sevilla destinations, and taxis are easy to find as well. The apartment is very spacious and clean. It has comfortable beds and a good shower. Having a washing machine and dryer in the apartment is also very useful. A very nice woman (Maria) met us at check in to show us the apartment. She also showed us how to find points of interest in Sevilla. We would definitely choose to stay here again!

  • Marina from Germany – 25 June 2023 (9/10)

It was a great place to stay – a very nice inner yard, very quiet and nice place to sleep. The same time there are few tapas and coffee bars on the street.

What could be improved: Wi-fi connection was not stable, and we stayed only for two days so we didn't ask host for help.

  • Anders from Norway – 13 March 2023 (8/10)

    A very good flat.

What could be improved: The shower had some problems.

  • Mirela from Romania – 9 November 2022 (9/10)

it was a perfect property for us. Close to the tourist center of the city, elegant, spacious, with attention to details to ensure comfort (immaculate sheets and towels for example). Very clean and the terrace completes the beauty of this apartment. We highly recommend it.

    What could be improved: Nothing.
