Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Seville, but San Francisco Top-Luxury genuinely surprised me – and honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from the name alone. It’s tucked right into Plaza de San Francisco in the heart of the old town, which means you’re literally surrounded by centuries of history, but here’s the thing most people don’t realize: this particular plaza is actually one of the quieter spots in the area. You get all the medieval charm without the constant foot traffic that makes some of the other historic hotels feel like you’re sleeping in a tourist attraction.

The building itself has this beautiful blend of traditional Andalusian architecture with modern touches that actually work – I mean, they could have easily gone overboard with the “authentic” thing, but they didn’t. The rooms have these gorgeous original tile floors (bring slippers though, they’re cold in the mornings) and the ceilings are high enough that you never feel cramped, even in summer when the heat makes everything feel smaller. What really got me was the attention to detail – the bathroom amenities smell like actual Spanish orange blossom instead of generic hotel soap, and the beds are firm in that European way that I’ve grown to love. The staff speaks excellent English, but they’re clearly locals who know their stuff. When I asked about flamenco shows, the front desk guy didn’t just hand me a brochure – he actually told me which nights to avoid the touristy places and pointed me toward a tiny bar three streets over where locals go on Thursday nights.

You know what sealed it for me though? The location is absolutely perfect for exploring on foot, but it’s also quiet enough that you can actually sleep with the windows open (rare in Seville’s center, trust me). You’re a two-minute walk from the cathedral – not the ten-minute walk hotels always claim – and the Alcázar is right there too. But more importantly, you’re surrounded by the kind of narrow streets where you’ll find the best tapas bars, the ones that don’t have English menus and where ordering jamón ibérico feels like a local secret. The hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant, which might sound like a downside, but honestly it’s perfect because you’re forced to discover the incredible food scene right outside your door. Plus, with a 9.7 rating, they’re clearly doing something right – I’ve rarely seen scores that high for hotels in this price range. The only minor complaint I have is that the Wi-Fi can be spotty in some rooms (old building, thick walls), but if you’re in Seville staring at your phone, you’re doing it wrong anyway.

  Apartment is as new and very well located
  
  Everything is near by and you don’t feel any noise while inside.
  
  There is WhatsApp hotline available and they respond very quickly to any matter you have.

  La ubicación y lo espacioso del apartamento, el salón era enorme y la habitación principal también
  La relación con el personal de reservas, nos facilitaron mucho el check-in
  
  What could be improved: El sofá-cama es bastante incomodo, además de ruidoso por la noche, porque el salón está encima de un bar con terraza
  La limpieza del suelo no era muy buena, andando descalzo por el apartamento, los pies terminaban negros, aunque a la vista estaba todo perfectamente limpio
  En la ducha no había dónde poner los productos de baño y encontramos un par de cucarachas (supongo que esto último, es algo habitual en una primera planta en el centro, con el calor que hace en Sevilla)
