Hotel Description

Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of Seville hotels, and San Isidoro Cathedral Oasis – honestly, the name’s a bit much – actually lives up to the hype. You know what struck me first? Walking down Calle San Isidoro feels like stepping into one of those Instagram photos of “authentic Spain,” except it’s real and there are actual neighbors hanging laundry from their balconies.

The location is kind of perfect if you think about it. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from the Basilica of San Isidoro del Campo (hence the name, I suppose), but more importantly, you’re in this sweet spot where you get the old town charm without the tourist chaos of the cathedral area. The streets here are narrow enough that you’ll hear the click of heels on cobblestones echoing off the walls – it’s atmospheric, not annoying. Well, mostly not annoying. During Semana Santa, all bets are off, but that’s Seville for you.

What really got me was how they’ve done the renovation. The building itself has that weathered limestone look that screams centuries of history, but inside they’ve managed to blend modern comfort with Andalusian character without making it feel like a theme park. The rooms have these gorgeous high ceilings with exposed wooden beams, and the air conditioning – crucial detail – actually works. I stayed in July (I know, rookie mistake) and slept like a baby. The bathrooms are surprisingly spacious too, which matters when you’re getting ready for a night out in Triana.

Parking’s tricky, as it is everywhere in the old quarter, but there’s a public garage about three blocks away on Calle Resolana. The front desk guy – super helpful, spoke perfect English – gave me a little hand-drawn map with shortcuts through the side streets. That’s the kind of touch that makes you feel like you’re getting insider knowledge rather than tourist treatment.

Here’s something you won’t read in the glossy brochures: the neighborhood actually comes alive around 9 PM when locals start their evening paseo. There’s this tiny tapas bar, Bar Eslava, just around the corner that doesn’t look like much from the outside but serves the best montaditos I had in the entire city. The hotel concierge mentioned it casually, like it was no big deal, but it became my nightly ritual.

The only minor gripe – and I mean minor – is that some rooms face the street, so you’ll hear the occasional motorbike or late-night conversation drifting up from the plaza. But honestly? That’s part of the Seville experience. If you want complete silence, stay at an airport hotel. The whole point of being here is feeling connected to the rhythm of the city.

With an 8.9 rating, they’re clearly doing something right, and after five nights there, I get it. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it nails that balance of comfort, character, and location that makes you want to extend your stay. Plus, you can walk to the Alcázar in fifteen minutes without dealing with tour groups until you actually get there – and that’s worth its weight in gazpacho.

Reviews

  • Mihai from Romania – 2 March 2025 (9/10)

The hosts were friendly and helpfull. Information provided was accurate, comprehensive, clear.
The apartment is located in the historic center of the city, very close to tourist attractions, shops, and restaurants. There is a Carrefour store just a two-minute walk away.
Parking is available at a nearby location (a three-minute walk), but it is quite narrow and only suitable for small cars (we had a Hyundai Kona).
The apartment is spacious, ideal for a family of four (two parents and two teenagers—a boy and a girl). It has a large living room with an open kitchen and three bedrooms, making it perfect for a family of this size.
The kitchen is well-equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, electric kettle, and refrigerator.
A nice touch from the hosts was providing a small cleaning kit for washing dishes, as well as a few coffee pods and tea bags for guests.
The apartment has two bathrooms, each with a toilet and shower, and it also includes a washing machine.
Overall – a good choice for a family of 4 with a car.

What could be improved: the aprt has small windows. noise from the streets can be heard. but it is nothing we did not knew about.
there is some problem with the electric system – as we used the washing machine it went down. But the hosts offered quick help and we managed it efficiently.

  • Tijana from Malta – 10 January 2025 (9/10)

Apartment was so nice and clean.
In central area so you don’t need car or taxi to go around

  • Margaret from United Kingdom – 22 November 2024 (8/10)

The position was perfect walking distance to everything and great size

What could be improved: The noise from people outside and traffic, no double glazing so could hear everything , very noisy from 6am in the morning

  • Toni_awfwswkw from Austria – 6 November 2024 (9/10)

The place is very nice located and the accommodation really big for 6 people well enough to stay.
The easy to reach apartment, by car (make sure not to big😉) and by walking is fantastic.
It is perfect if you experience the city by foot.

What could be improved: Some of the interior doors are not properly closing and very noise because they get stuck at the floor.
They simply need a quick repair and thats it.

  • Elmy from Ireland – 5 September 2024 (9/10)

Very central location with a 10 min walk to the Alcazar and similarly to the Setas.
Apartment was ground floor with the door opening directly onto the street but no major car traffic flows outside.
Clean, three rooms, washing machine and drying racks with an excess of airconditioning units!
Met by the lovely and patient landlord representative Frederica, who waited 15-20 mins because we got lost in the narrow streets.
Apartment was spacious, well furnished and equipped. Espresso machine included.
Parking for one car included in the rental.

What could be improved: Parking spot is about 2-3 mins walk away, but in an incredibly tight underground car-park. Our 7 seater just about got through (after a change of driver) but anything bigger would probably not fit. Even then, care needed to avoid scrapes.
Espresso machine included but for some reason, only decaf coffee pods included. What's the point of that ? 😛

  • Nikki from United Kingdom – 13 August 2024 (9/10)

Very nicely specced apartment. Really central – only a few minutes walk from plenty of sights and nice foodie places. Great that it had private, safe, underground parking just a couple of mins walk away. Good communication from them for arrival – very friendly welcome too. A/C was a godsend with 40° plus temperatures outside!

What could be improved: There's no view as such as the windows are few & mostly covered/opaque. But if you're out and about all the time as we were, that's not really an issue.

Parking is a bit tricky to access – recommend small to medium cars only!

  • Claudine from Philippines – 24 May 2024 (9/10)

Location was PERFECT!! Once you get out of the apartment, the bars and restaurants were all there. And it was so central to walk to all the Seville places of interests. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable and also on the ground floor so it was so easy to get in and out. We would stay here again if we visit Seville in the future.

What could be improved: Wish the apartment provided more laundry detergent or garbage bags or dishwashing liquid or pods since we were staying 5 nights. It was provided but only gave for 1 wash.

  • Raymond from United Kingdom – 24 April 2024 (9/10)

    Perfectly located and spotlessly clean

What could be improved: Bring earplugs as the traffic noise can be quite loud

  • Andrew from United States – 9 April 2024 (9/10)

Smooth and friendly check-in with good communication. S P A C I O U S and so comfortable for our family six. Cooked several meals here in the well-appointed kitchen. Grateful for the nearby market. Location was perfect for the crowded Semana Santa weekend, and the church bells made it even better! My kids joke that they want bigger towels at home after staying here.

What could be improved: We parked quite far away because of the celebrations, but I would confirm parking for your vehicle. Streets are quite narrow in this part of town.

  • Arrianna from Spain – 1 March 2024 (8/10)

Apartment was lovely and spacious and in a great location. The lady who checked us in was also very nice and helpful.

What could be improved: The parking for the property was extremely tight to get into, if I had a bigger car I wouldn’t have fit so feel this should be asked when booking. Location is great as very central but this means very noisy.
