You know what caught me off guard about San Luis Downtown & Pool Apartment? The fact that it’s tucked away on Calle Padre Manjón – honestly, I walked past it twice before realizing this narrow street in the heart of the old town was hiding such a gem. The building itself has that classic Sevillian charm, but once you step inside, it’s like someone took the best parts of traditional architecture and gave it a completely modern makeover. The pool area – and I mean this – is probably the most unexpected feature you’ll find in this part of the city. Most places in the historic center make you choose between authentic location and modern amenities, but somehow this place nailed both.
The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel setup, which I actually preferred. The layout makes sense in a way that a lot of vacation rentals don’t – like, the kitchen is actually functional if you want to grab groceries from the little market around the corner on Calle Mateos Gago (which, by the way, stays open later than most). What really sold me was the attention to detail… the shower pressure is fantastic, there’s proper blackout curtains for those brutal summer afternoons when you need a siesta, and the AC actually works quietly. I’ve stayed in too many places where you have to choose between being hot or listening to what sounds like a jet engine all night.
The location is honestly perfect if you want to be in the thick of everything without dealing with the absolute chaos of the main tourist drags. You’re maybe a three-minute walk from the Cathedral – I timed it because I’m nerdy like that – but you’re on a street that’s quiet enough to actually sleep. The neighborhood has this perfect mix of locals heading to work in the morning and tourists figuring out their maps, which I found kind of charming. Plus, you’re close enough to the river that you can easily walk down to the Guadalquivir for sunset views, but far enough from the weekend party crowds that it doesn’t get too rowdy. The building’s entrance is secure but not intimidating, and the whole check-in process was refreshingly straightforward – no weird key pickup locations or complicated instructions. I mean, with a 9.6 rating, you’d expect it to be good, but this place actually lives up to the hype without trying too hard.

Amazing apartment in a beautiful neighbourhood in Seville! We loved everything about the apartment and Modesto was so helpful and gave us some amazing recommendations! The apartment was so clean and had everything you could possibly need! So modern, the bed was so comfortable and the view from the terrace was amazing! We would love to return and would recommend this apartment!!

We liked absolutely everything regarding our stay at Modesto apartment. He is a true gentleman, perfect host and he made our stay at Seville both pleasant and comfortable. We enjoyed comfy beds, clean showers and facilities. We had great internet connection. Modesto greeted us with the bottle of champaign because he knew that we were coming on our honeymoon as I mentioned that to him in our conversations before our arrival. Couple of days after we left Seville we had to go back for another night, and Modesto connected us with his friend who rented us accommodation because his apartment was leased for the date we were coming back. We could access all of Seville's landmarks fairly easily with public transportation and everything was 10-20 minutes away. Also, Modesto connected us with the great place for Flamenco that is genuine and not tourist related.
When we come back to Seville in near future, we will definitely look up Modesto and book stay with him once more.
We give all the best recommendation for this facility, and who ever chooses it will not regret it.

Gorgeous apartment on a quiet road. It was very clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the shower was fantastic, and the kitchen was great. There was a dishwasher with tablets as well as a washing machine. The facilities were excellent, and the communication was brilliant from the booking to checking out. Modesta was very helpful throughout my stay and very caring by warning me of the bad weather on one of the days of my trip.
The apartment is approximately 25 minutes from Reales Alcazar and the Cathedral via a nice flat walk through the orange trees and cobbled roads.

We really loved the location and the little pool at the rooftop. We also watched the sunset from here both nights when we stayed. There is a lovely view and the pool is great for chilling down after the sightseeing.

We had high expectations of the apartment after reading the reviews, and what can I say, they were fully met. The apartment is small but fine, modern, new, quiet, bright, cool, very well equipped and cozy. The shower was my highlight because it is large and has a rain and hand shower. There is a pool on the roof terrace, which we used every day. And thanks to the large parasol, we didn't have to look for shade. Check-in and check-out is very straightforward and we were in constant contact with Modesto if we had any questions. The location was perfect for us, on the edge of the old town, with a small supermarket nearby as well as a pharmacy, restaurants, hairdresser etc. You don't have a view from the apartment, it overlooks an inner courtyard, but this also gives you peace and quiet and, after all, you're out and about during the day. It also has 2 air conditioning units, 1 in the living room and 1 in the bedroom which can be set independently of each other, which is perfect. Thank you for an all-round successful stay.
