Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Seville, and the San Pablo Deluxe Suite honestly surprised me in the best way. You walk down Calle San Pablo – which, by the way, is this narrow cobblestone street that feels like you’re stepping back a few centuries – and you almost miss the entrance because it blends so perfectly with the old architecture around it. That’s actually part of its charm, I mean, you’re literally in the heart of the old town where tourists are usually bumping into each other with their cameras, but somehow this place feels like a little secret.

The suite itself is where Valcambre really gets it right. They’ve managed to do that tricky thing where you get modern comfort without losing the authentic Sevillian character – exposed wooden beams overhead, these gorgeous tile details that you know took someone forever to restore, but then you’ve got proper air conditioning (trust me, you’ll need it in summer) and a bathroom that actually has decent water pressure. The bed is legitimately comfortable too, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how many boutique places in old buildings skimp on the mattress. What I really appreciated was the kitchenette setup – nothing fancy, but perfect for making morning coffee or keeping some jamón ibérico and cheese from the Mercado del Arenal, which is maybe a three-minute walk away.

Honestly, the location is what sells this place for me. You’re close enough to the Cathedral that you can hear the bells (which is magical at sunset, though fair warning – they start early in the morning too), and you can walk to pretty much everything worth seeing without dealing with buses or taxis. The little tapas place around the corner on Calle Mateos Gago – I won’t spoil it by naming it, but the locals pack it around 9 PM – became my regular spot because it was so easy to stumble back to the hotel afterward. Parking is… well, it’s what you’d expect in the old town, meaning forget about it and just use the underground garage a few streets over, but that’s Sevilla for you. The 8.4 rating makes sense to me because while everything works and the staff actually knows the neighborhood (they steered me toward this incredible little ceramics shop I never would have found), it’s not trying to be some luxury palace. It’s just a really solid, thoughtfully done place that gets the balance right between location, comfort, and that authentic Andalusian feel that’s getting harder to find these days.

  Apartment was lovely, very spacious and very comfortable but there was a very bad smell from the drains which was a pity. Would be a 10 out of 10 if this was not there. Maybe it was just the time of year.

  Great location and very central to everything. Great views of the city from all rooms, especially looking from the living room out towards the cathedral at night. Overall, it was a good unit.
  
  What could be improved: The unit needs a little maintenance to repair some cracked and delaminated counter tops and the cabinet hinge under the sink. The caulking around the shower in the main bathroom should be replaced, and some of the furniture is either worn or in need of cleaning. The dining room chairs should be replaced.

  The apartment and the location are great. Getting the keys was easy and super friendly with all kinds of tips to enjoy our stay. The apartment has a lovely view towards the cathedral, is spacious and quiet. The location places you right in the centre with all facilities nearby.
  
  What could be improved: One of the reasons to choose this apartment was the fact that parking was included in the price. The parking is right at the back of the property and you access it using a car lift. Unfortunately our electric car was too heavy for the lift and therefore we had to use the paid public facility nearby. This by itself was OK as these things happen. What is not great is the fact that the host never responded to our request to compensate for the parking costs. Lack of responsiveness is a big no-go in my view.

  What could be improved: In generally all is good. Bathroom sink would need some maintenance as water escapes badly. Bath sealing could be refreshed too as looks tired

  The location was great. We appreciated the ability to park our car on site and washing machine in the unit.
  
  What could be improved: It was great. It would be vm even better if there was coffee available for the coffee maker and instructions for the next awning machine.

  Excellent location, comfortable apartment with outstanding window view (it shines especially at night where you can enjoy enlighten cathedral directly from your bed).
  Host was helpful in informing us that we're coming in a difficult (easter) period, when due to street closuers it's not possible to get there by car, and pointed us on closest available parking which was 10 minutes by foot
  
  What could be improved: Generally, all was great, the host was just a bit impatient when she was waiting for us at the apartment for check in, while we were walking 10 minutes with a large suitcase and small kids. It would be nicer to have a better understanding concerning the circumstances

  Amazing view, location and size of the apartment. Overall apartment is great! Hosts were friendly and responding super fast.
  
  What could be improved: We had very bad smell of the sewage and loud construction next door. Plus, door of one of the bathrooms should be fixed.
