You know what caught me off guard about San Vicente 43? Walking up to this place, I honestly expected just another converted townhouse trying too hard to be boutique – but this spot actually gets it right. The building sits right on Calle San Vicente, which means you’re deep in the real Sevilla, not some tourist bubble. I mean, you can hear theclick of heels on cobblestones in the morning when locals are heading to work, and there’s this tiny bar next door where the regulars nurse their cortados and completely ignore the tourists.

The rooms have that thing where everything feels deliberately chosen rather than ordered from a hotel catalog – sort of like staying at the home of a friend who has impeccable taste but isn’t showing off about it. The beds are actually comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms have proper water pressure, which… well, if you’ve stayed in old European buildings before, you know that’s not always a given. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night despite being in the center of everything. The walls must be thick because even during Semana Santa – when the streets are packed until ridiculous hours – I slept fine.

Here’s the thing that sold me on this place: the staff knows the neighborhood like locals because, honestly, most of them are. When I asked about dinner recommendations, the guy at reception didn’t just hand me a generic list. He asked what I was in the mood for, then sent me to this incredible little place on Calle Mateos Gago that I never would have found otherwise. And when I mentioned wanting to see the sunrise from the cathedral, he told me exactly which entrance opens first and how to time it right – the kind of insider knowledge you usually only get from friends who live here.

The location is pretty much perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Sevilla rather than just visiting. You’re a three-minute walk from the cathedral, but you’re also surrounded by actual neighborhood life. There’s a fantastic little grocery store around the corner, and the Plaza de San Francisco is close enough that you can grab coffee there in the morning before the tour groups arrive. Parking is tricky (it’s the old town, what do you expect?), but they’ll sort you out with a garage nearby if you’re driving.

Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of four-star places that felt generic, but this one has personality without being gimmicky about it. The 8.5 rating makes sense – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but everything works, the location is unbeatable, and you feel like you’re getting a real taste of the city. If you’re the type who wants to explore Sevilla properly rather than just tick off the major sights, this is your spot.

  Tout est parfait ! La localisation est superbe : au milieu de la vieille ville, à 10 minutes des quartiers touristiques et des transports, on a tout fait à pied, apparemment très joli, propre, bien équipé, au sein d'une résidence à une architecture andalouse magnifique, personnel disponible et très gentil. Je recommande vivement cet appartement et je ne manquerai pas à y retourner si prochain voyage à Séville.

  La ubicación, el apartamento en general la limpieza, el disponer del parking y sobre todo el trato, muy amables, pendientes de todo y siempre disponibles para resolver cualquier asunto de forma inmediata.

  What could be improved: Me hubiese gustado que las mesillas de noche hubiesen sido más grandes. Apenas cabe nada y que tuviese tv en el dormitorio. Pero excepto eso, todo fenomenal.

  Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, man hat viele Informationen von der Unterkunft und der Umgebung im vornherein erhalten. Die Tipps waren super. Die Kommunikation war immer sehr gut. Das ein Parkplatz zur Verfügung gestellt wurde, war super für uns, dieser liegt ca. 5 min. entfernt zur Unterkunft.
  
  Die Unterkunft ist sehr sicher, liegt sehr zentral und hat in unmittelbarer Nähe gute Locations, wie Bars, Restaurants, Supermärkte. Das einzig Schlechte war, dass das Bett beim Drehen gewackelt hat.
  Alles in allem aber eine sehr gute Unterkunft für ein Urlaub in Sevilla. Wir würden das Hotel gerne wieder buchen, wenn wir nach Sevilla kommen. Danke für alles.

  Iniciamos nossa experiencia sendo muito bem atendido pelo staff da acomodação. Informações precisas do check in e estacionamento. Em seguida recebemos dicas de comercio, restaurantes, pontos turísticos etc. Canal de comunicacao fácil, ágil e disponível.
  As instalações sao novas, apartamento muito bem equipado e confortável. A localização é excelente, rua calma mas ao mesmo tempo perto de tudo. Fizemos quase tudo a pé. Taxi em algumas poucas ocasiões.
  Definitivamente recomendo a acomodação para outros viajantes.

  Le logement est neuf, très beau et confortable. Il est conforme aux photos. Il est assez grand pour être 4 sans se marcher dessus.
  Les hôtes sont très réactifs par message, accueillants et proposent des idées de restaurants et activités ainsi qu'un numéro d urgence qu'on peut contacter même de nuit en cas de problème.
  L emplacement dans le centre est idéal, avec un très joli patio et un parking privé gratuit (souterrain) à 7min à pied (qu'il faut réserver).
