Hotel Description
Honestly, when I first walked up to Santa Barbara Central Suites on Calle Jesús del Gran Poder, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the street name alone had me fumbling with Google Translate. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are tucked away on these narrow cobblestone streets that your GPS barely knows exist. This place sits right in the heart of Seville’s old town, and I mean *really* in the heart of it. You can actually hear the clip-clop of horse-drawn carriages from the tourist routes echoing off the ancient walls early in the morning, which sounds touristy but is oddly charming when you’re sipping coffee from your suite.
The building itself has that perfect balance – it’s got serious history (these walls have seen some things, trust me) but someone clearly spent real money making sure it works for modern travelers. The suites are surprisingly spacious, which is rare in this part of town where most places feel like elegant shoe boxes. I loved that each one has a proper kitchenette – not just a mini fridge and a prayer, but actual counter space where you can spread out those incredible jamón and cheese selections from Mercado de la Encarnación, which is maybe a five-minute walk away. The air conditioning actually works too, and if you’ve spent any time in Andalusian summers, you’ll know that’s not something to take lightly.
What really sold me on this place, though, is how the staff seems to genuinely get that you’re here to experience Seville, not just sleep somewhere clean. They’ll point you toward the tiny tapas bar around the corner that doesn’t have a sign (locals call it “Pepe’s place”) rather than the obvious tourist traps on Calle Sierpes. The front desk guy – I think his name was Miguel – actually drew me a little map showing which streets to take to avoid the cruise ship crowds when walking to the Cathedral. Small touches like that make all the difference when you’re trying to soak up a city properly. The location means you’re walking distance from everything that matters – the Alcázar, the Cathedral, those winding streets of Santa Cruz – but you’re just far enough off the main drag that you’re not dealing with flamenco music and tour groups at all hours. Fair warning though: parking around here is basically impossible, so if you’re driving, make sure they’ve sorted out a spot for you ahead of time.

The location and the balcony big apartment and clean
What could be improved: The noise are from the street and the mothers was terrible.Dua from United Kingdom – 7 February 2025 (9/10)
It was the perfect location and a walking distance to nearly all the places to see in Seville, like the Las Setas, the square (shopping centre), the river, the fine arts museum and more. Taxi stand and bus stop’s are at a short distance too. For pre-arrival I was sent a message guided with each and every detail. It included how to get in from the street door, how to unlock the apartment door (both explained with a video link), the Wi-Fi password, where to dispose garbage, (with a Google Maps link), the a/c setting and a PDF about the apartment and useful information. The communication of the host has been seamless. I would get a reply to all messages/ request within minutes and they are so kind! I asked for Halal restaurant near the apartment and I was kindly sent a lovely list of 10 restaurants, including the address, average price, distance. To enter the apartment you have the option of using the digital keypad or the digital keys, this makes entering the apartment easier, especially after a long day. In the apartment block there’s a lift which makes taking your luggage stress-free. Upon entering the apartment they have a clean and well maintained space. They have a dinning table and sofa-bed, with extra throws and blankets under it, a cupboard with hangers. They have small kitchen with everything you need, a microwave, toaster, kettle, stove, coffee machine, iron and ironing board, washing machine and dishwasher. They have all the tablets and pods stocked up too. It includes all cutlery and utensils, pots and pans for cooking. They also have a sponge and dish washing soap and bin bags too. In the bathroom they have stocked toilet paper, soap, shampoo, shower gel and a hairdryer. They have three lovely terrace spaces, which is great for fresh air and heating the hustle bustle of the old town. They have a tv in the living area and in the bedroom (depends off which apartment you have), it includes Netflix and YouTube.
What could be improved: The only thing is the sofa-bed was uncomfortable as there wasn’t any mattress like protection for your back.Lisa from United Kingdom – 5 January 2025 (8/10)
Great communication and local information.
Convenient arrival with key code entry.
Convenient location, a little away from the hustle and bustle and high prices of the main centre, bakery within steps of the door, Aldi supermarket nearby, restaurants and bars of Alameda.
Generally clean and well presented apartment with a good shower and always hot water
What could be improved: The windows did not seem to block any noise and there were often loud noises from the street during the night, impacting sleep, even with ear plugs.
Slippers required to not get black feet / socks from the floor. The sofa was rather stained and worn.Sarah from Gibraltar – 11 December 2024 (9/10)
I highly recommend this property and we will be back to stay again for sure. Great host, ideal location, beautiful apartment with everything you need.
What could be improved: Nothing we didn't like, great apartment in an ideal location.Dorothy from United Kingdom – 23 October 2024 (9/10)
The apartment was well equipped and well laid out. It is walking distance to the old quarter and there is a little shop next door that sells groceries. Aldi supermarket is a 5 minute walk. The air conditioning in the bedroom and lounge was quiet and effective. The lift was a great help with luggage.
What could be improved: All the local apartments have to use a communal recycling point that is 250 metres away. The streets are too narrow for bins and too many bins in the heat would not be good.Mary from Ireland – 13 October 2024 (9/10)
This 3 bedroomed apartment was located in the centre of the old town. It was clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. We could not ask for better. We were assisted with queries on trains, buses, places to eat, things to do etc. Highly recommend it
What could be improved: no complaintsRobert from Canada – 24 September 2024 (9/10)
This is a very nice apartment. It is well located, comfortable and well equipped for cooking. The bed was comfortable, the shower was very nice and the apartment was clean. The location is close to lots of restaurants and an easy walk to the top tourist attractions.
What could be improved: The kitchen could use a strainer for pasta and a knife with an edge for cutting bread.Nivandro from Portugal – 24 August 2024 (9/10)
I loved the place
What could be improved: Parking car was terribleMafalda from Portugal – 12 May 2024 (9/10)
