Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Santa Clara Suites? It’s tucked into this narrow little street in the heart of Sevilla’s old town, and I mean really tucked in – Calle Santa Clara is one of those cobblestoned lanes where you can practically touch both buildings if you stretch your arms out. But that’s actually part of its charm, because you’re literally steps away from everything that matters in Sevilla. I’m talking about being able to walk to the Cathedral in maybe eight minutes, and the Alcázar is practically around the corner.
The building itself has that typical Andalusian feel – white walls, iron balconies, the works – but inside it’s been updated in a way that feels modern without trying too hard. The suites (and they really are suites, not just hotel rooms with a fancy name) have these lovely tile floors that keep things cool even when it’s blazing outside, which trust me, in Sevilla summer heat, you’ll appreciate. What I really liked was how quiet it gets at night, despite being so central. I mean, you’re in the old town, so there’s definitely some street life happening, but something about the way these old buildings are constructed just seems to muffle most of it. The 7.8 rating honestly feels about right – it’s solid, comfortable, well-located, but it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury or anything like that.
Here’s what I wish someone had told me before I booked: parking is going to be an adventure. The street itself is pedestrian-only during certain hours, so you’ll need to figure out where to leave your car if you’re driving. There’s a public garage not too far away, but honestly, if you can swing it, just take the train into Sevilla and walk everywhere from here. The front desk staff actually gave me pretty good directions to nearby tapas spots that weren’t completely overrun with tourists – there’s this little place just off Plaza de la Encarnación that locals actually go to, which was refreshing. The suites come with basic kitchenette setups, nothing fancy, but enough to make coffee in the morning or store some jamón and cheese from the market. And speaking of mornings, the light that comes through those traditional shutters is just gorgeous – very golden hour, very Instagram-worthy if that’s your thing. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying in someone’s renovated family home rather than a generic hotel, which in a city like Sevilla, really adds to the whole experience.

It s a clean, renovated, comfortable loft. Bright and airy. It is 20 mins walking distance to the alcazar and other historical areas. Kitchen was well-equipped. Supermarket and tons of restaurants right next to the building. We were allowed to check in at 11:00 which is very good. Only downside is lack of hot water, the water switch doesn’t work, even if you switch to hot, it doesn’t get hot, I called the host but couldn’t reach. The rest was great.

Great location in a quiet area and within easy reach of a mini Carrefour for food, and within a few minutes walk of some of great sites, including the gorgeous Palacio de las Duenas, the flamenco theatre on Isla Magica and 25 mins walk to Real Alcazar. Flat was really clean and a very unusual style. We thought it was a super place to stay and nicer than staying in the main touristy part.
What could be improved: We had a few cold showers as there was a lack of hot water. The flat temperature was rather chilly.. must be the thick stone walls! The roof terrace was a welcome sunny outdoor space, and some seating would be a great addition.Zeroual from France – 19 December 2024 (9/10)
The ease of keyless access – the private patio – the warmth of the environment – the cozy feel of the apartment
What could be improved: The Wi-Fi connection wasn't the best, but isn't vacation meant for disconnecting?Weronika from Poland – 14 November 2024 (9/10)
The apartment is nice and cozy and it’s actually bigger than I thought . The bonus is also a tarace – the property was very quiet and calm and location for me was just perfect – walking distance everywhere !!
Communication with host was smooth and fast – I would def recommend this placeHeslie from Gibraltar – 21 October 2024 (9/10)
The location – it was easy to find and close to many good restaurants.
The room was exactly how it was shown in the photos.
The owners was easy to talk to and always available.
We can't keep our bags in the accomodation after checkout – however the owners were kind enough to suggest a luggage facility nearby which worked for us
What could be improved: The only downside we experienced is we can hear our neighbours upstairs dragging/moving some furnitures at night.Harriet from United Kingdom – 13 October 2024 (9/10)
Great location and great apartment. The apartment was very clean and tidy and nicely set up and decorated. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable.
What could be improved: We spent the last few days of our stay without hot water due to a fault in the building.James from United Kingdom – 7 October 2024 (7/10)
Loved it. A very modern and beautiful flat in an amazing location. We would stay here again.
What could be improved: Our only issues;
1. Advised a hairdryer on the amenities, so we didn't pack one, but there wasn't one in the room.
2. The main shower didn't work and so used the small hose attached. It wasn't very hot. Taps were at the side by the toilet to control the cold and hot water flow which isnt something we've seen before and so didn't want to mess with it.
3. Toiletries were a little sparce so we went and bought some. Ie, no shampoo or toothpaste.
4. WiFi password not listed correctly, the owners text me the correct password, but it is still worth mentioning as it wouldn't take much to update it.May from United Kingdom – 17 August 2024 (9/10)
I loved the decor, cleanliness and the location of the property. It was a 15min walk or thereabouts to restaurants and sightseeing. The hosts communicated with me prior and after my arrival and were very quick to respond.
What could be improved: Everything was great, however, I would have loved to have had some water at the property at arrival, considering the weather was so hot, at least a bottle of water at arrival would have been great. I had to go out after arrival to find a corner shop to get some water, luckily there is a shop just a few yards away which was open. The wardrobe space is also not big enough for 2 people but we managed and it was fine.Matejspanik from Slovakia – 15 July 2024 (8/10)
The accommodation was great, actually very, very nice, in a quiet building. The room had its own AC so we could hide there from hot summer temperatures. If we will be in Sevilla next time – we come here 100%
What could be improved: Some furniture had some signs of use (missing knobs or peeled paint), but it wasn't something we couldn't get over it. And the process of "check-in" was a bit weird – we had to send our passports via WhatsApp – but apparently, that is a common process in places like this.Adrian from United States – 13 July 2024 (8/10)
What could be improved: Wifi signal was bad so we have no internet
