You know what? I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Seville over the years, and this little gem on Calle Virgen de Setefilla honestly caught me off guard. The thing about Los Remedios is that it’s where actual sevillanos live – not the touristy Santa Cruz area where you’re dodging selfie sticks every five minutes. When I first walked up to number 4, I’ll admit I was a bit confused because it’s tucked into this residential building, but that’s actually what makes Setefilla Deluxe Suite work so well. You’re staying in a real neighborhood where the lady downstairs waters her plants every morning and there’s this tiny bar around the corner (Bar Trini, if you must know) where locals grab their cortados.

The suite itself is… well, it’s properly done. I mean, they’ve clearly put thought into making it feel like an upscale apartment rather than a hotel room trying too hard. The kitchen actually has decent knives – you’d be surprised how rare that is – and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showers that doesn’t make you feel like you’re being attacked by angry drops. What I really appreciated was the air conditioning, because honestly, Seville in summer is no joke, and this place keeps things properly cool without sounding like a jet engine. The bed situation is solid too, though the street can get a bit lively on weekend nights (nothing crazy, just people heading home from dinner at midnight like civilized humans do here). One thing that struck me was how they’ve managed to keep some character in the space – it doesn’t feel like those sterile rentals where everything’s beige and forgettable.

Here’s the real deal though: location-wise, you’re about a fifteen-minute walk to the cathedral, but more importantly, you’re five minutes from the river and those gorgeous walking paths along the Guadalquivir. The Triana bridge is right there, which means you can easily hop over to explore that whole side of the city – most tourists miss Triana entirely, which is honestly their loss. Parking is street parking (typical for the area), but it’s not the nightmare you’d face trying to stay in the old town. The 8.7 rating makes sense to me – it’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but everything works, it’s thoughtfully set up, and you feel like you’re actually staying in Seville rather than some generic European city. I’d definitely book it again, especially if I was planning to spend more than just a quick weekend. Sometimes the best places are the ones that just quietly do everything right without making a big show of it.

  Great apartment with bedrooms set to the back of the property making them quiet from street noise. Good shower with decent water pressure. The place is very comfortable and much larger than it appears in photos.
  
  What could be improved: Free parking is a great bonus, however, it is a bit awkward getting access.

  The location, felt safe. Supermarket 1 minute walk. Communication with the staff although we did not meet them was excellent. Half mile to the river and old town , bars and restaurants. Secure parking very close by was a bonus.

  The place is in a great location, close to the center, close to the subway, market, etc. and still very quiet. The apartment is large and comfortable and well equipped.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment had a coffee maker, but no coffee capsules. There were no small pots or pans. There were only very large pots. The building's lock needs to be replaced. The air conditioning in one of the rooms wasn't working properly. These problems didn't really affect our stay.

  Nice place, with decent location. Very spacious with comfortable beds.
  
  What could be improved: Requires two people for check out, since you have to leave the keys inside the apartment, but the main building doors only open with the key (both from inside and outside), so someone has to wait with the open door while the other leaves the keys.

  Hosts were lovely, very helpful. The parking is just round the corner under Aldi. Great location. Nice big apartment, well equipped but could do with a chopping board and a drainer.
