So I stumbled across Sevilla Centro Casa Del Pop tucked away on this narrow little street called Callejón Tirso de Molina, and honestly? The name had me curious from the start. It’s one of those places where you walk past twice before you actually spot the entrance – which, you know what, is kind of perfect for the old town vibe they’ve got going on.

The thing about staying right in the heart of Sevilla’s historic center is that you’re literally surrounded by centuries of history, but also… tourist chaos during peak hours. Casa Del Pop somehow manages to feel like a quiet refuge despite being smack in the middle of everything. I mean, you can walk to the Cathedral in about eight minutes, hit up the tapas spots on Calle Mateos Gago without breaking a sweat, and still come back to relative peace. The 4-star rating feels about right – it’s got that boutique hotel charm without trying too hard to be fancy. The rooms have this sort of modern-meets-Andalusian thing happening, with decent air conditioning (trust me, you’ll need it in summer) and surprisingly good soundproofing considering those old town streets can get pretty lively.

What really won me over was the staff’s local knowledge – they actually know the neighborhood rhythms. Like, they’ll tell you to avoid certain streets during the evening paseo crowds, or point you toward the little plaza where locals grab their morning coffee instead of the tourist traps. The 7.8 rating makes sense because while everything works well and the location is genuinely fantastic, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches. But honestly, who needs a spa when you’re a five-minute walk from the Real Alcázar gardens? The breakfast situation is solid – nothing revolutionary, but they do proper Spanish coffee and the pastries are clearly from a local bakery, not some industrial supplier. One heads up though: parking is basically non-existent around here (welcome to medieval street layouts), so if you’re driving, factor in about 15-20 euros daily for a nearby garage. But here’s the thing – once you’re settled in, you really don’t need a car anyway. The whole Santa Cruz neighborhood unfolds around you, those winding streets reveal new little discoveries every time you step out, and you’re close enough to everything that matters that walking becomes part of the charm rather than a chore.

  Excellent apartment with a great location, near bars and restaurants. Good shower and comfortable beds. Had everything we needed for our stay. Easy access to property via code from host.
  
  What could be improved: Main door to property was not locked. No windows in apartment except in bedrooms however we were out most of the time anyway.

  What could be improved: Front door to the apartments was broken. The door just opens without needing the keycode so we were a little nervous that someone could go straight to our dept door and someone may have already tried that thus the broken main door. I note that this was raised as an issue in at least early january, so a month before our stay. Pointless sending me the front door code then and its a 5 minute repair job.

  This place looks close to brand new. the decor is very bright and the pop music artist theme of Alaska the Spanish singer was tastefully used in the decor. I'm sure the other rooms like Bowie and Beatles were equally nice. the elevator was a nice surprise as I didn't notice it was included in the description. very new and comfortable bed. My only issue with this particular apartment is it does not have any windows that open outside for sunlight and fresh air. There are windows, however they open to an internal common area to accommodate the stairs, elevator and sitting areas on each floor. Im sure other appartments in the POP do have exterior windows. The place is spotlessly clean and secure. I would definitely come back. Centrally located in the city centre. Close to everything. the cleaning staff allowed us to store our luggage for the day so we could continue to sight see before our late day departure. That was very much appreciated. We booked the last apartment at the time but if I had a choice I would have got one with an outside window. Try the Beatles or Bowie.
