Hotel Description
I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Silken Al-Andalus Palace on Paraná street, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like another business hotel. But you know what? Sometimes these mid-century buildings surprise you, and this one definitely grew on me during my stay in the Bellavista-Palmera neighborhood.
The thing about this part of Seville is that it’s actually perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it. You’re not in the touristy Santa Cruz area where every other person is holding a map, but you’re also not stuck in some distant suburb. The hotel sits in this residential pocket where you’ll find locals walking their dogs in the evening and families heading to the nearby Parque de los Príncipes – honestly, that park became my morning coffee spot because it’s just a five-minute walk and way more peaceful than the hotel lobby. The metro connection at Universidad is super close too, which means you can get to the cathedral or Alcázar in maybe fifteen minutes without dealing with Seville’s… let’s call it “creative” driving situation.
What really won me over was how the staff seemed to actually care about getting things right. Check-in was smooth (they speak decent English, though my terrible Spanish got some encouraging smiles), and when I mentioned I was hoping to catch some flamenco, the front desk guy – Miguel, I think – didn’t just hand me a tourist brochure. He actually recommended this smaller venue in Triana that locals go to, not the big flashy shows. The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a solid four-star – clean, comfortable beds that don’t leave you with a sore back, and air conditioning that actually works during those brutal Andalusian summers. I mean, it’s not going to win any design awards, but everything functions properly, which honestly matters more when you’re dealing with 40-degree heat. The pool area surprised me too – it’s small but gets good afternoon sun, and there’s this little bar where you can grab a proper gin and tonic without paying resort prices. One small thing that bugged me was the Wi-Fi could be spotty on higher floors, but ground floor and lobby were fine. Oh, and if you’re a light sleeper, maybe request a room facing away from Paraná street – it’s not terrible, but there’s some early morning delivery traffic that might wake you up. Still, for the price point and that 8.6 rating it’s earned, you’re getting solid value in a neighborhood that gives you a real taste of how Sevillanos actually live.

What a lovely hotel! The pool, the bars, the restaurants, the breakfast…everything was perfect!
What could be improved: Only a small thing and absolutely not the hotel's fault but I got a lot of insect bites whenever I was near the pool/ pool bar. A lot of ants!Vipul from United Kingdom – 9 June 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved: It’s far from the townTatiana from Ireland – 8 June 2025 (9/10)
We had absolutely amazing time in this lovely hotel. Our spacious room was beyond our expectations with the front pool view, comfy beds, strong conditioner, coffee/tea station, huge TV and large terrace. The hotel itself is very enormous, with extensive flowering gardens and sizeable pool, it is real palace! Internet is very strong in the whole hotel premises. All the staff, from the front desk to the cleaners, does great job. All were smiling, helpful and welcoming to us. The food was very tasty, especially in the dinner time, including such traditional spanish dishes, as the paella and the soup gazpacho. Through all our staying we have been feeling the caring attitude of this hotel, so we recommend it from all our hearts! And would like to come back here ASAP:)))
What could be improved: Cheap and thin toilet paper. The absence of the slips and the bathrobes. No light on the terrace.Akram from France – 5 June 2025 (9/10)
We had a great stay! The hotel is classy and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are spacious, the bed is super comfortable, and they offer a variety of bathroom items—even a toothbrush! The pool and garden are also really nice and relaxing.
A special mention to the staff who surprised my wife with a small birthday cake, drinks, and a lovely note to wish her a happy birthday — it was a very thoughtful gesture and made our stay even more special.
What could be improved: The hotel is a bit far from the city center (about 50 minutes on foot, but only 15–20 minutes by bus), and the breakfast could be improved — especially the sweet options, which were a bit limited.Kim from United Kingdom – 5 June 2025 (9/10)

The pool was a godsend in the heat
The bed was very comfortable. Great public transport locally.
The staff were all welcoming
What could be improved: No tea and coffee facilities even a vending machine to buy some would be good.
Instructions on how to reuse towels as they were replaced everyday and we didn't need this.
