You know what struck me first about Sleepin Sevilla Catedral? The name’s a bit quirky, honestly – but once you’re standing on Calle Jimios looking up at this place, you get it. They’re not trying to be fancy, just straightforward about what they offer: a really solid place to crash right in the heart of Seville’s old town. And I mean *right* in the heart – you’re basically a three-minute stumble from the cathedral, which is either amazing or potentially annoying depending on how you feel about church bells at 7 AM (spoiler: you’ll learn to love them).

The location is actually pretty genius when you think about it. Calle Jimios isn’t one of those main tourist drags where you’re dodging selfie sticks every five seconds, but you’re still close enough to everything that matters. The Alcázar is right there, the Jewish Quarter’s around the corner, and honestly, some of the best tapas bars I’ve ever been to are tucked away on the little side streets you’ll discover just wandering back to the hotel after dinner. The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star – clean, comfortable, decent-sized for European standards. Nothing revolutionary, but they’ve clearly put thought into the details. Good blackout curtains (trust me, this matters when those bells start up), solid WiFi, and the AC actually works, which isn’t always a given in these old quarter hotels during Seville’s brutal summer months.

What I really appreciated – and this might sound weird – is how the staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood. Like, really know it. Not just the obvious tourist spots, but they pointed me toward this incredible little ceramics shop tucked away near Plaza del Salvador, and recommended a flamenco place that wasn’t touristy at all. That 8.2 rating makes sense to me because it’s not trying to be perfect – it’s just really good at what it does. The lobby can get a bit chaotic during peak season (avoid checking in between 3-5 PM if you can), and you’ll definitely hear some street noise if you’re facing Jimios directly, but honestly? That’s part of staying in the real Seville, not some sanitized hotel bubble. I mean, you’re literally sleeping in one of the most beautiful historic centers in Spain – a little authentic urban buzz is part of the charm.

  Location! So close to the cathedral and Alcázar- great as two of our group are not that great with mobility. Perfect location.
  Great value for a beautiful apartment.
  Slept 6 adults with a bed each which was perfect.
  Beds were very comfortable.
  Apartment was spacious, clean and had Spanish character which made our stay even more special. Lounge area was lovely and relaxing (loved the balcony doors) and enabled us to have some social time in between our excursions. Great facilities.
  Showers great water pressure and water hot. Had to hold shower head but this was okay.
  Owner of apartment extremely helpful with great communication before and throughout our stay. Thank you, so much as this made our stay stress free and enjoyable.
  We loved the apartment and I would stay again if returning to Seville. I would highly recommend for a group.

  Maybe enable to shower heads to fit easily. But it wasn’t a problem.

  Location was great! Communication with owner/management was excellent!
  
  What could be improved: There was a foul smell from one of the extra blankets we did not use. You could tell that particular blanket was not properly dried.

  Fantastic location close to everything. Very clean. Extremely well equipped kitchen. Clean bed linen and towels. Host was very helpful and had great communication.
  
  What could be improved: Attic apartment – no lift and no info on the listing about amount of stairs. Even the fittest amongst us was breathing hard at the top! 6 full flights of stairs! Bathroom was in need of updating- mouldy grout and chipped floor on the bath – unable to use the sofa as it was wet! (Washed or damp!)
