Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Stay U-nique Apartments Eslava when I first walked up to the building on this narrow street in Seville’s old town. The name’s a bit quirky, right? But man, sometimes those places that don’t take themselves too seriously end up being the real gems. This one definitely falls into that category – there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole setup that just works.

The location is actually perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Seville rather than just visiting it. Eslava street itself is one of those authentic residential lanes where you’ll hear neighbors chatting from their balconies in the evening, but you’re literally a three-minute walk from the buzzing tapas scene around Plaza de la Alfalfa. I mean, you can grab your morning coffee at the little bar on the corner where the locals go, then be at the Cathedral in ten minutes flat. The apartments themselves feel more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel – they’ve got that lived-in comfort without being shabby. The kitchens are actually functional (you know how rare that is in European city stays), and there’s something satisfying about being able to make your own gazpacho after you’ve bought tomatoes at the Thursday market on Feria street.

What really sold me on this place, though, is how quiet it gets at night despite being right in the heart of everything. You’d think being in the old town means dealing with constant noise, but Eslava is just removed enough from the main tourist drags that you can actually sleep with the windows open – which you’ll want to do because those thick stone walls keep things cool during the day but can feel a bit stuffy after sunset. The staff seems to get that travelers want independence; they’re helpful when you need them but not hovering around trying to upsell you on tours or whatever. Check-in was smooth, they gave me solid recommendations (the little seafood place on Pérez Galdós they suggested turned out to be incredible), and when my apartment’s wifi acted up one afternoon, they sorted it out within the hour. Look, it’s not luxury in the marble-lobby sense, but it’s got that 9.1 rating for good reason – everything just works the way it should, and you end up feeling like you’ve discovered something special rather than just booked another generic stay. If you’re the type who’d rather explore Triana market in the morning and cook dinner with local ingredients than eat hotel breakfast and hunt for tourist restaurants, this is your spot.

    Location was really good.

    What could be improved: It is a bit confusing how to actually enter the suite but once figured out it was ok.
    Several lock boxes don’t make it easy.

    Clean and comfortable with all the necessary facilities. Location is quite central and really nice view from the window. Bed and pillows perfect for sleeping. Complimentary wine, coffee and local orange jam were really nice touch

    What could be improved: There is water all over the bathroom floor after taking a bath, due to the issues with isolation on shower enclosure. Could have more towels for 3 nights stay (we got 2 per person).
