Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about this place? Walking up to Calle Pastor y Landero, you’re right in the thick of Seville’s old town – I mean, you can literally hear the horse-drawn carriages clattering past on the cobblestones below. This isn’t one of those “historical center” places that’s actually a fifteen-minute walk from anything interesting. You’re genuinely in it.
The apartment itself is on the first floor (which, if you’re American like me, means what we’d call the second floor), and honestly, the Andalusian style here feels authentic rather than touristy. The owners clearly put thought into the details – thick walls that actually keep the summer heat out, traditional tiles that aren’t just for show, and windows positioned to catch those lovely cross-breezes that make Seville evenings so perfect. I was there in late spring, and even when the streets got busy with tour groups during the day, the apartment stayed surprisingly peaceful. The street noise is there, sure, but it’s more like a gentle hum of city life rather than anything disruptive.
What I really appreciated was how walkable everything is from here. The Cathedral and Alcázar are maybe a seven-minute stroll – close enough that you can easily pop back for a siesta (which, trust me, you’ll want to do in Seville). But you’re also right near some of the smaller tapas bars that locals actually use, not just the ones with English menus clustered around the main tourist spots. There’s this tiny place around the corner where they do incredible jamón ibérico, and the bartender remembered my order after just two visits. The Metropol Parasol is close too, though honestly, I found the street-level views more charming than the tourist crowds up top.
Parking – well, let’s be real, you don’t want a car here anyway. The streets are narrow, and half of them are pedestrian-only during certain hours. But the airport bus stops nearby, and once you’re settled in, everything you want to see is within walking distance. I did notice the building’s entrance is pretty typical for the area – not fancy, just a regular door on the street – so don’t expect a hotel-style lobby experience. You get keys, you find your way up, and that’s part of the charm.
The 9.3 rating makes total sense to me. The space feels genuine, the location can’t be beat, and there’s something satisfying about staying somewhere that feels like a real Sevillian home rather than a generic rental. Just pack light if you’re not used to stairs, and maybe bring earplugs if you’re a super light sleeper – though honestly, the sounds of the old town at night (distant flamenco, conversations drifting up from the street, church bells) kind of become part of the experience.

Absolutely loved our stay in this stylish Andalusian home next to El Arenal. It had a fantastic vibe – cozy, beautifully furnished, and full of character. It felt like a real home, not just a rental. The location was perfect, and everything about the space was warm, inviting, and unique. Would 100% stay again, and we will definitely will! Gracias!

What could be improved: Very little . We were asked to take our trash but there was nowhere to put it which was a painAna from Romania – 27 March 2025 (9/10)
Location was great, close to everything, 5 min walk to the Cathedral and Alcazar. The house was cozy and nicely decorated, as in the pictures. Good communication with the owner, easy check-in/out.
What could be improved: small things could use attention (one bath door knob was coming out), but nothing that really bothered us.Tracey from United Kingdom – 29 September 2024 (10/10)
Excellent location for sightseeing and dining. Quirky lift giving direct access into apartment. Clean and comfortable throughout. Highly recommend staying.
What could be improved: As first time visitors some local information on transport links and restaurant/ bar recommendations would help future guests.Angela from United States – 5 March 2025 (6/10)
