Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Suites Hom Sevilla on Calle Fernández y González, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in understated packages. This little gem sits right in the heart of Seville’s old town, and I mean *right* in it – you’re literally a two-minute stumble from the Cathedral, which is both amazing and slightly overwhelming when you first step outside in the morning.

The suites themselves are what really caught me off guard. They’ve got this clean, modern vibe that feels refreshingly uncluttered after wandering through all the ornate Moorish architecture outside. The kitchenettes are actually functional (not just for show like some places), which honestly saved me a fortune since eating out for every meal in this touristy area would’ve bankrupted me. The air conditioning works like a dream too – and trust me, if you’re visiting between June and September, you’ll thank me for mentioning that. I stayed during Easter week, which is absolutely insane in Seville with all the processions, and while you can definitely hear the crowds and occasional music from the street, it’s not the kind of noise that keeps you up at night. The windows are decent quality, and the rooms face inward to a quiet courtyard anyway.

What I really appreciated was how the staff actually knew the neighborhood – not just the obvious tourist spots everyone recommends. The guy at reception told me about this tiny tapas place on Calle Mateos Gago (literally around the corner) that I never would’ve found otherwise, and it ended up being one of my best meals in the city. The location really is something special though – you can walk to the Alcázar in about five minutes, hit the bars in El Arenal without needing a taxi, and you’re close enough to the river that evening strolls along the Guadalquivir become part of your routine. Parking is a nightmare in this area (I mean, what did you expect in a medieval neighborhood?), but there’s a public garage about three blocks away that’s not too expensive by Seville standards. The whole setup just works – it’s one of those places where you feel like you’re staying in the real Seville, not some sanitized hotel bubble removed from everything interesting. That 8.9 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days.

  The location is superb within minutes you are in the centre. The room was so much bigger than expected and fantastic. The hosts/cleaners could not do enough for you and were so helpful and kind. There is a great coffee and tea facilities for all to use which is free. Would definitely stay here again.

  The location is very convenient near the Giralda and the Real Alcazar. The rooms are very nice and clean & the staff was very helpful & nice.

  Great location. Spotlessly clean. Really comfortable beds. It is as it looks in the pictures. So close to everything. Lovely shower. In room fridge, and kitchen facilities. Sofa in the room. Staff were so friendly and helpful.
  Only negative – Road outside can be a bit noisy. Could do with a mirror (full length) in the room.
