Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Suites Maestranza? It’s tucked away on this tiny street called Calle Mariscal that honestly feels more like an alley when you first walk down it, but then you realize you’re literally steps from the Cathedral and the Alcázar. I mean, we’re talking about a two-minute walk to some of Seville’s biggest attractions, but the location is quiet enough that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds right outside your door.
The building itself has this restored feel – not overly polished like some places try to be, but actually comfortable. The suites are proper apartments, which is perfect if you’re staying more than a couple nights (and trust me, you’ll want to). What I really appreciated was the kitchen setup – it’s not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation. You can actually cook if you want to, though honestly with all the tapas bars within walking distance, I barely used it except for morning coffee. The space feels more like borrowing a friend’s apartment than staying in a hotel, if that makes sense. The air conditioning works well too, which matters more than you’d think during Seville summers.
Here’s the thing about the location that guidebooks don’t really capture – you’re in the heart of the old town, but on the edge closest to the river. So when you walk out in the morning, you can either head deeper into the maze of narrow streets toward the Cathedral, or stroll five minutes to the Guadalquivir and that whole riverside area. The neighborhood has this perfect mix of actual locals going about their day and enough restaurants that cater to visitors without feeling touristy. There’s a little grocery store about a block away, and the morning routine of grabbing fresh bread there became one of those small travel pleasures you don’t expect.
Parking is… well, it’s the old town, so don’t expect to park right outside. But there are a couple of public garages within reasonable walking distance, and honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t need a car anyway. The whole area is walkable, and taxis are easy to find when you need them. Check-in was straightforward – they actually met us at the apartment, which felt more personal than standing in a hotel lobby. One small thing: the WiFi was solid, but the walls are thick (old building charm), so cell service can be spotty in some rooms. Not a deal-breaker, but worth knowing if you’re expecting important calls.
What really makes this place work is that it strikes this balance between having your own space and being right in the middle of everything that matters in Seville. You’re not sacrificing location for comfort or vice versa, and for a 4-star place, the value feels right. It’s not trying to be fancy – it’s just a really solid base for exploring the city.

Great location in historical Seville yet quiet in the evening. And the room (our was in the basement with windows to the street) was cozy and cool without need of using AC (outside was 35 celicus)
What could be improved: I was very disappointed with the process of requesting a baby travel bed. For the price we paid, it should be standard and not something we have to request—especially when we arrived in the late afternoon with a sleeping baby and had nowhere safe to put him to sleep.
The kitchen was, on one hand, well-equipped with basics like oil, salt, pepper, balsamic vinegar, and sugar, as well as appliances like a toaster, coffee machine, and microwave. However, there was only one knife (a bread knife), no kitchen cloth to dry the dishes, two wine openers, and no bowl for salad.Fiona from New Zealand – 16 April 2025 (9/10)
Loved staying there. The place was amazing and the location was spot on. Could not have been any better

-Great location for all the main tourist hotspots and close to bars, cafes and restaurants,
-Quiet at night,
-Clean and has everything you need for your stay
What could be improved: – Despite requesting a cot and contacting the host on a number of occasions, we didn't receive confirmation that one would be provided until after we had arrived, meaning we had to purchase and bring a travel cot with us from Ireland
– The doors stick and the door handle doesn't work from the inside the bedroom meaning you could get locked in
– Glass coffee table isn't ideal when travelling with small childrenLorna from United Kingdom – 13 March 2025 (8/10)
The location of the property, the facilities with washing machine & dishwasher.
What could be improved: Communication and Some instructions in the property of where to empty the bins, and how to work the air con. Somewhere to hang clothes in the single bedroom would have been nice.Laura from United Kingdom – 5 July 2024 (8/10)
Great location

The host was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our stay effortlessly enjoyable. They even arranged for us to check in an hour early, which we really appreciated. I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay here again on my future trips to Seville ! last note: the location is just perfect !
What could be improved: if check in time can be earlier than 3 PM that would be more handy for more travelers but at the same i understand the cleaning requirements.Andrew from United Kingdom – 9 March 2024 (9/10)
Great location: close to sights, bars, restaurants, shops etc close by, also walking distance from both Santa Justa and San Bernardo train stations. Plenty of space, including two bathrooms and a functional kitchen. No noise from outside. Good entry mechanism (code lock, no keys to worry about). Very responsive hosts.
What could be improved: Nothing, all good.Oscar from United Kingdom – 13 February 2024 (8/10)
Parking very close (3mins walk), excellent location, very close to cafes, restaurants and main sites – yet very quiet as no bars etc on same (short) street. Huge TV, living room bright and airy and kitchen was fully equipped – with coffe pod machine (complimantary bottle of fresh milk would have been a nice touch). Brilliant value for money – consudering there are 2 separate bedrooms. Air con in all rooms. Easy pin code access, but keypad by front door hassle to use (you need to press a key a few times before system engages – you get the hang of it – but frustrating)
What could be improved: Main bed not very comfortable and second bedroom has a very small single bed. Bathroom dated and shower space (in too-small bathtub) cramped. Our apartment was on second floor – don’t book ground-floor one as it looked claustrophobic/dark.Stephanie from United States – 9 January 2024 (9/10)
Very nice and spacious apartment, very eell equipped and conveniently located.
What could be improved: Not enough hot water for 4 people to bathe.
Would have loved a bigger bed, since there is more than enough room.David from New Zealand – 24 November 2023 (9/10)
Great location.
