Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Sevilla over the years, and Suites Maestranza honestly surprised me in the best way. You know how sometimes apartment-style hotels can feel a bit sterile? Well, this one doesn’t. The building itself sits on Calle Cristóbal Morales, which – if you’re not familiar with the old town – is basically a quiet side street that somehow manages to be perfectly positioned without all the tourist chaos you get closer to the cathedral.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to blend that traditional Andalusian architecture with actually functional modern living. I mean, the suites have proper kitchens (not those sad little kitchenettes), and the beds are honestly some of the most comfortable I’ve encountered in Spain. The courtyard area has this lovely tiled floor that stays cool even during those brutal July afternoons, and there’s something about the way the light filters through in the morning that just… well, it feels very Sevilla, if that makes sense. The staff actually knows the neighborhood too – they pointed me toward this tiny tapas place around the corner that I never would have found otherwise, and it became my go-to spot for the rest of the trip.

Here’s the thing about the location that most people don’t realize until they’re there: you’re close enough to walk to the Alcázar or the Giralda in about ten minutes, but you’re tucked away enough that you don’t hear the late-night crowds stumbling back from the bars on Calle Betis. I actually slept really well, which is saying something because I’m usually pretty sensitive to street noise. The only minor thing – and this is really minor – is that the WiFi can be a bit spotty in some of the rooms, though it worked fine in the common areas. Parking can be tricky too, but honestly, that’s just Sevilla for you. Most people end up using the public garage a few blocks away anyway. The 8.9 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be a luxury palace, but it absolutely nails what it is: a really solid, comfortable base for exploring one of Spain’s most incredible cities. If you’re planning to spend your days wandering the narrow streets and your evenings enjoying proper Andalusian dinners, this place gets it right.

  Excellent, spacious & clean. Very comfortable and safe stay in central Seville. Great location. Would definitely stay again.
  
  What could be improved: Maybe just adding an additional mirror for two ladies staying at the apartment 🙂 but not a big issue. Hope that helps.

  It has everything you need, including stock of salt and olive oil. We like the firm mattress and being able to darken the bedroom completely to sleep better. The staff were attentive and offered many types of help over WhatsApp.

  Nothing to dislike. Lovely, spacious, airy 2 bedroom flat. Well appointed, everything was there. Nice residential area not too far from centre. Lovely restaurants, supermarket close. We felt so lucky to stay there.

  Excellent location, easy to walk around to old town sights. Plenty of excellent places for tapas nearby, or just a drink.
  Apartment was very good with plenty of space, clean, secure.
  
  Only issue was for a three night stay, 2 coffee pods is a ordinary. When we asked staff for a few additional pods, we were told that we would have them once they restock the next day, which didn't eventuate. Should deliver on promises, or better, ensure a stock is in place.
  
  The above was the only fault, with what is an excellent property for a short stay.
