Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked up to this place on Calle San Esteban – the street itself is pretty narrow and you might even walk past it if you’re not paying attention. But once you step inside SUITES SAN ESTEBAN 16 Ducal, it’s like someone hit a reset button on your whole Seville experience. The building has this gorgeous traditional Andalusian courtyard (you know, the kind with the tiles and the fountain that makes you want to just sit there with a book for hours), and I mean, the contrast between the busy street outside and this peaceful interior space is honestly perfect.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to keep all the historical character – we’re talking exposed brick, beautiful archways, the works – while actually making the suites feel modern and comfortable. The rooms are spacious, which is sort of a miracle in this part of the old town where most places feel like shoe boxes. I stayed in one of their suites and the kitchenette was actually functional, not just for show, which came in handy since there’s a great little market just a few blocks away on Calle Feria where you can grab fresh ingredients. The AC worked perfectly too, and trust me, if you’re visiting in summer you’ll appreciate that more than any fancy amenities.

Location-wise, you’re literally in the heart of everything but tucked away enough that you won’t be dealing with the tourist crowds stumbling around at 2 AM. The Cathedral is maybe a seven-minute walk, and you can easily wander over to the Jewish Quarter or hit up the tapas bars along Calle Mateos Gago without needing any transportation. Actually, forget about driving here – the streets are barely wide enough for a Smart car and parking is basically impossible. But that’s the charm of it, really. The staff seemed to genuinely know their stuff about the neighborhood too, which made a difference when I needed recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps. The whole place has this relaxed, family-run vibe even though it’s clearly well-managed and professional. I’ll be honest, the 9-star rating makes total sense – it’s one of those places that just gets the balance right between authentic Seville character and actually comfortable accommodations.

  The property is in an excellent location, and all the historic sites of Sevilla are within a 10-minute walking distance.
  There are tapas bars, restaurants, and convenience shops within a 3-minute walk.
  San Esteban is an access route into the city centre, and as such, there is road noise in the apartment……but nothing that vino tinto can't sort!!

  Great apartment, very comfortable. We slept well even with the street noise. The place is immaculate. The host was very responsive to our questions. Very walkable to the sights and the airport bus stop. Plenty food provided for breakfast although not to our taste. We would happily stay again.
  
  What could be improved: The breakfast, although plentiful, wasn't to our taste. We would have preferred fresh fruit, yogurt,eggs. Plenty coffee pods but no tea, so I asked the cleaner who supplied it to us.

  I can rate the appartment, communication with the host, their approach if everything was fine & additionally complimentary champaign, chocolate and grapes for NY celebration were suprising and great touch! The qualtiy of the food products was great, my husband was very happy with the coffee.
