Honestly, when I first walked into SUITES SAN ESTEBAN 16 Principe, I wasn’t expecting much from the narrow entrance on Calle San Esteban – but that’s the thing about Seville’s old town, right? The best places hide behind these unassuming doorways. Once you’re inside though, it’s a completely different story. The building has this gorgeous traditional Andalusian feel with modern touches that actually work (unlike some places that try too hard). You’re literally in the heart of the old quarter here, which means you can stumble back from dinner at Casa Robles around the corner without worrying about taxis or getting lost in those winding medieval streets.

What really got me was how quiet it stays despite being smack in the center of everything. I mean, you’re a five-minute walk from the Cathedral – five minutes! – but somehow the courtyard design keeps most of the street noise out. The suites themselves are properly spacious, not like those shoebox “junior suites” you get at chain hotels. There’s actually room to spread out your stuff, and the kitchenettes are functional if you want to grab some jamón and cheese from the market and have a lazy breakfast. The staff genuinely seems to know the neighborhood too, which makes a difference. When I asked about flamenco shows, they didn’t just hand me a tourist brochure – they told me which nights to hit Casa de la Memoria and warned me about the tourist traps on the main drags.

You know what I appreciated most? The little things that show someone’s actually thinking about the guest experience. Good water pressure (crucial after walking around Seville all day), blackout curtains that properly block the light, and – this might sound weird – but the air conditioning actually works quietly. I’ve stayed in too many Spanish hotels where you have to choose between sleeping hot or listening to what sounds like a jet engine all night. The 9.5 rating makes total sense once you’re there, honestly. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Seville, but everything just works the way it should. Plus, if you’re planning to explore beyond the city center, you’re still well-positioned – the bus stops for trips to places like Itálica or even day trips to Córdoba are all walkable from here. Just heads up though, parking in this part of town is basically impossible, so if you’re driving, ask them about the nearest garage when you book. Trust me on that one.

  Beautifully appointed in a great location in the old town in walking distance of a lot of the main sites.
  The roof terrace was a bonus. The rooms are beautifully decorated.

  Large stylish space, big windows but also could close them to make it dark. Bed was the best most comfortable of all the places we stayed in Spain. Just was so responsive & helpful too with laundry options & lent us an umbrella even.
  
  What could be improved: The church across the street was beautiful but bells go at 8:30am and then again around 8:45 so although not obnoxious early still startling if you enjoyed a night on the town before…

  The location of this apartment was great with Almazen cafe nearby. It was also secure, stylish and very comfortable. The host was lovely too, and was easy to contact.
  
  What could be improved: There was only 1 mirror which was in the bathroom. This got steamed up, and also meant that only 1 person at a time could get ready. This unfortunately really slowed us down in the mornings.
  
  In addition, I could only see down to my waist, and it would have been nice to have been nice to see my entire outfit to see how I looked.

  The apartment is very nice, clean, and cozy. Everything needed for a short family stay is provided, from kitchen equipment to the modern, spacious bathroom.
