Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Seville, and Terraza de La Magdalena luxury honestly caught me off guard – in the best way possible. The name’s a bit of a mouthful, sure, but when you’re tucked away on Calle San Pablo in the heart of the old town, you sort of expect something special. What I didn’t expect was how this place manages to feel both authentically Sevillian and refreshingly modern without trying too hard to be either.

The location is actually perfect if you know Seville at all. You’re literally steps from the cathedral – I mean, you can hear the bells if you’re a light sleeper, but honestly, it’s kind of magical waking up to that sound. The narrow cobblestone streets here can be tricky with luggage (pro tip: pack light or tip your taxi driver well), but once you’re settled in, everything you want to see is walkable. The Alcázar is maybe five minutes away, and you’re close enough to the river that evening strolls along the Guadalquivir become part of your routine. What really sold me, though, was discovering that tiny tapas bar – El Rinconcillo – is practically around the corner. The hotel staff actually recommended it, which tells you they know their neighborhood rather than just pointing tourists toward the obvious spots.

The rooms themselves have this warm, lived-in elegance that’s hard to fake. Everything feels carefully chosen rather than ordered from a catalog – the textiles have weight to them, the furniture has character, and the bathrooms (thank goodness) have proper water pressure. I stayed during late spring when Seville gets pretty warm, and the air conditioning actually worked without sounding like a freight train. The terrace – which I assume is where the “Terraza” part comes from – gives you these gorgeous views over the old town’s rooftops, especially at sunset when everything turns golden. You know what really impressed me though? The check-in process was seamless, and the front desk staff spoke multiple languages fluently, not just enough to get by. They genuinely seemed to enjoy helping guests figure out the city, and their restaurant recommendations were spot-on. I mean, with a 9.1 rating, you expect good service, but there’s a difference between polished and genuinely warm – this felt like the latter. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the elevator is pretty small (typical for these historic buildings), so if you’re traveling with lots of luggage or have mobility concerns, just ask for a lower floor when booking.

  The location is fantastic.
  Close to everything.
  The apartment is very bright modern and open.
  It had all the essential kitchen equipment, plus nespresso. The washing machine was useful as we are traveling "budget airline light" for many weeks.
  There's a supermarket and parking in the basement (no direct access).

  The location is perfect for exploring Seville. It’s in the heart of the action. Loads of bars restaurants and all the main sights and areas are on your doorstep

  The appartment was a perfect location for our stay and to explore the historic sites in Seville
  It was very well equipted, well furnished, clean and comfortable
  We particulary enjoyed the terrace
  We arrived early and parked out car in the carpark under the appartment block. We had requested an early checkin but had a small difficulty locating the appartment block entrance. We rang the host he arranged for the lady cleaning the appartment to meet us and guide us to the appartment without delay.
  We would highly recommend this apartment.
  
  What could be improved: Slight difficulty locating the entrance to the apartment block. Also we feel that without help it would be difficult to locate the apartment within the building (however we got help from the host quickly and we were met and guided to the apartment)

  Location is excellent. Everything is quite near and within walking distance.
  All the modern facilities are present in the appartment.
  Kitchen well equiped.

  Perfect location to walk anywhere in the city.
  The flat was spacious and very comfortable. The balcony was a bonus.
  
  What could be improved: The street was a bit noisy in the evenings with delivery trucks. The dishwasher wouldn’t work so we had to wash everything by hand.
