Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Toreros de Sevilla? The location is absolutely ridiculous – and I mean that in the best way possible. Calle Mateos Gago is basically this narrow cobblestone street that’s literally a two-minute stumble from the Cathedral, and honestly, you can’t get more central in Sevilla’s old quarter without sleeping in the actual cathedral itself. The building has this gorgeous traditional Sevillan architecture thing going on, with those classic white walls and wrought-iron balconies that make you feel like you’re living in a postcard. When I first walked up (and yeah, good luck getting a taxi down that narrow street – you’ll be walking the last bit with your luggage), I actually thought I’d booked some fancy boutique hotel by mistake.
The apartment itself sleeps five people comfortably, which is perfect if you’re traveling with family or friends and want to avoid those awkward hotel room arrangements. What really got me was how they’ve managed to blend modern comfort with authentic Andalusian charm – the kitchen is fully equipped (I mean actually equipped, not just a sad mini-fridge situation), and the living space feels genuinely homey without being cluttered. The beds are proper comfortable too, which honestly surprised me because I’ve stayed in some “4-star” places in Europe where the mattresses felt like cardboard. Air conditioning works like a dream, and trust me, you’ll need it if you’re visiting between May and September when Sevilla turns into an actual furnace. The Wi-Fi is solid, the hot water pressure is decent, and there’s enough space that you’re not constantly bumping into each other – small details, but they matter when you’re there for more than a night or two.
Here’s the thing though – and this is why locals love this street – you’re surrounded by some of the best tapas bars in the city, but it’s also where tourists congregate, so it can get pretty lively (read: noisy) until late, especially on weekends. I actually didn’t mind it because the sound of people enjoying themselves is part of Sevilla’s charm, but light sleepers might want to pack earplugs. The real magic happens in the early morning when the street is still quiet and you can grab coffee from one of the tiny cafés before the tour groups arrive. You’re a five-minute walk from the Alcázar, literally around the corner from the Cathedral, and the Barrio Santa Cruz – with all those Instagram-worthy orange tree courtyards – is right there. Plus, and this is insider knowledge, there’s a decent grocery store about three blocks away on Calle Sierpes if you want to stock up on Spanish wine and jamón to enjoy on your little balcony. The 9-star rating isn’t just marketing fluff – this place genuinely delivers on comfort, location, and that authentic Sevilla experience you’re probably hoping for.

What could be improved: Wifi did not reach bedrooms, a booster would help.Mark from Malta – 27 January 2025 (8/10)
Amazing location. Seville is always great. Maria is an excellent host. She very kindly and graciously assisted us with everything we required.
What could be improved: Should have stayed longerEric from Canada – 20 October 2024 (8/10)
Loved everything about the place, the pictures don't do it justice, the place looks bigger then what the pictures show you, it's well located in the city center, you're close to the action and because of where the rooms are located within the apartment complexe you don't hear any noises from outside.

Location is exceptional and there is lots of space for a group to stay and relax. The showers, beds, kitchen, couches etc are great.
What could be improved: Not used to the need for so many keys to enter the building and room. Also the lighting in the stairs was not working.Sarah from United Kingdom – 30 September 2024 (9/10)
Perfect location in the centre of the old town, close to the Giralda. Comfortable beds, great shower, well equipped kitchen.
Isabella from United Kingdom – 14 September 2024 (9/10)
This was a gorgeous apartment with marble throughout and so much space! We loved staying here and especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen. It is within walking distance from all the main spots, but despite this is still a quiet haven inside.
What could be improved: The fifth single bed is definitely more suited for a child.Adriana from United Kingdom – 1 July 2024 (8/10)
Beautiful property in the centre of Seville. location is incredible. The property is super clean, it is big and the communication with Marina is very good. She was extremely helpful.
What could be improved: That we only had one set of key and we were 5 adults.Cerruti from Switzerland – 18 September 2023 (9/10)
The location was so central to everything yet the flat was completely quiet. Very spacious apartment with a good layout. Generally quite clean upon arrival. Master suite had a luxurious changing area. Kitchen was up to date and well equipped.
What could be improved: Only a couple of nits: Hard to reach places not cleaned for awhile , e.g., above he Master shower; Needs pain in a couple os spots, and there is no real dining table/area though the desks in the living room can work.
