Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Triana Cathedral House? It’s actually tucked away on this narrow street where you’d never expect to find such a polished place. I mean, Parroco Don Eugenio Bajo isn’t exactly a street most tourists stumble across – it’s more where locals walk their dogs and grab bread from the corner bakery. But that’s honestly part of the charm here.
The building itself has this beautiful restored facade that somehow manages to look historic without feeling stuffy inside. When I first walked in, there was this subtle scent of cedar and something floral (maybe from the courtyard?) that immediately made the place feel more like a friend’s well-appointed home than a hotel. The staff actually remembers your name after day one, which is refreshing when you’re used to those massive chain places where you’re just another room number. Check-in was smooth – they had recommendations ready for dinner spots in Triana that weren’t the obvious tourist traps across the river.
What really sold me on this place was the location, though you have to know Seville a bit to appreciate it. You’re literally a five-minute walk to the Guadalquivir, and from there it’s an easy stroll across the Isabel II bridge to the cathedral district. But here’s the thing – you get to come back to Triana at night, which feels more authentic than staying in the historic center where everything shuts down after the tour groups leave. There’s this little tapas bar called Casa Cuesta (maybe three blocks away) that locals pack into around 10 PM, and you can actually walk there without navigating crowds of selfie sticks. The neighborhood has real rhythm to it – kids playing football in the small plazas, older folks chatting on stoops, that sort of thing.
The rooms are well thought out, with good blackout curtains (essential for those late Spanish nights) and surprisingly effective air conditioning. I was there in July, and honestly, I expected to suffer a bit, but the AC actually kept up with the heat. The beds are proper firm – not that soft hotel nonsense that leaves you feeling like you slept in quicksand. One small thing that impressed me: the WiFi works everywhere, even in the courtyard area where I liked to have coffee in the mornings before the day got too hot.
If I had to nitpick, parking can be a bit tricky since it’s an older neighborhood with narrow streets, but there’s a public garage about a ten-minute walk away. And honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t need a car much anyway – everything worthwhile is walkable or a quick metro ride. The 9.5 rating makes sense to me because this place gets the fundamentals right without trying too hard to be trendy. It’s the kind of spot where you feel like you’re staying in Seville rather than just visiting it, if that makes sense.

This was probably the best place we ever stayed at. The house was amazing. There was a chocolate box and some lovely Spanish fans on the table as a welcome gift. The central air conditioning was amazing; there was every possible useful thing that one could need or even think about. To us it was better than a 5-star hotel as it felt like home. The place was neat and clean and huge. Getting the keys was the most fun part and the instructions were spot on. It was easy to communicate with the people. Javier Marco was super helpful with any questions and even provided us with some food place recommendations. There was NO breakfast option, but there is lots of places around. We had to share our passport snaps over the whatsapp and sign some forms that were left on the table, but that's all the effort we had to put in from our side. If we could give this a 100/10, we'd do that. It was close to everything and it was easy to walk around to all the fun and interesting food places. Seville is a walking city, so this place was perfect. I can honestly tell you that it was very hard to leave that place; we loved it too much. Would have loved to stay there for a good long time. Thank you

The apartment was clean, modern, quiet, and accessible to lots of bars and restaurants in the historic Triana district of Sevilla. Hosts were easily accessible and more than helpful.

Excellent communication with the owners. They were there to open the door and show us around the apartment. Apartment super clean with coffee maker and washing machine. Pretty much all of the main sites are within walking distance. We will stay at this apartment again. SEVILLE was our favorite city on our trip.
What could be improved: Not that it is the owners fault, but the city's sewers smell pretty bad , especially when it's hot.Peter from Malta – 15 May 2023 (10/10)

De locatie is top. Tegenover een mooie kerk en heerlijke restaurantjes om de hoek.
What could be improved: 1 handdoek voor 5 dagen is een beetje weinig, maar na een appje met de host is dit onmiddellijk opgelost.Soraya from Spain – 4 May 2025 (10/10)
