Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about the Triana Penthouse? It’s actually tucked away on this quiet residential street – Calle Fabié – which honestly feels like a bit of a hidden gem once you figure out where you’re going. I mean, Triana itself is already that neighborhood most tourists kinda skip (their loss, really), but this particular stretch feels refreshingly local. You’re literally living among Sevillanos here, not other hotel guests taking Instagram photos at breakfast.

The penthouse thing isn’t just marketing speak either – you really do get these sweeping views over the rooftops, and on clear evenings you can actually see the cathedral’s Giralda tower poking up across the river. What I loved most was stepping out onto the terrace in the morning with coffee and hearing the neighborhood waking up below… church bells from Santa Ana just down the street, that rhythmic clatter of the tram heading toward the city center, old ladies chatting from their balconies. It’s got this authentic Seville soundtrack you just don’t get in the tourist zone. The space itself feels more like borrowing a friend’s really nice apartment than staying in a hotel – which can be amazing if you’re the type who likes to spread out and actually live somewhere for a few days, though I’ll admit the check-in process was a bit more involved than just walking up to a front desk.

Here’s the thing about staying in Triana that guidebooks don’t really capture – you’re on the “wrong” side of the river in the best possible way. Sure, you’ll walk across the Puente de Isabel II (locals still call it Puente de Triana) pretty much daily to hit the main sights, but honestly? Some of my favorite moments were right in the neighborhood. There’s this little market, Mercado de Triana, maybe a seven-minute walk away where you can grab incredible jamón and cheese for impromptu terrace picnics. And the ceramic shops along Calle Alfarería – I mean, this is literally where Seville’s famous azulejo tiles come from. Plus, and this might sound random, but the tapas scene here feels way more genuine. Places like Las Golondrinas aren’t trying to impress tourists; they’re just serving really good food to people who live here. After a week of staying in Triana, going back to the Barrio Santa Cruz area felt almost cartoonish by comparison. The apartment itself handles the practical stuff well – decent wifi, kitchen that actually works if you want to cook, and surprisingly good sound insulation considering you’re right in a residential area. Just know that parking can be… well, let’s call it “an adventure” if you’re driving.

Reviews

  • Angelique from New Zealand – 11 December 2024 (9/10)

Fantastic location with lots of great restaurants and bars nearby. Excellent outdoor space and really good shower.

What could be improved: Just a small thing but it would be helpful to label the entrance keys and provide info on exiting the building. Also, separate pillows instead of one long pillow would have been better.

  • Varinder from United Kingdom – 7 October 2023 (8/10)

The location was excellent and the property on the whole was very good.

What could be improved: TV wasn't working, the issue was't rectified during our stay. In the bathroom there was no handwash and no. facilities to put toiletries and cosmetics ending up putting our stuff on the coffee table. This was easy to remedy all that was needed was a shelf in the corner above the sink. there was also nothing to put toothbrushes in . This resulted in a messy lounge area.

  • George from United Kingdom – 14 September 2023 (9/10)

Great apartment with a fantastic terrace. Close to bars and shops. Easy to get to. Air conditioned and modern fridge and cooker. Good communication from the host.

What could be improved: There were only 2 toilet rolls, we had to get more. We bought some kitchen towels as well.
This apartment is described as a one bedroom but it would be more accurate to describe as a studio with a bed and a sofa bed in the same room. Was great for us (a couple) and would be fine for a family with 2 children.

  • Kristina from United Kingdom – 18 January 2023 (8/10)

Very helpful host, good location, possibility to check in earlier, plenty of towels and bedding for 2 weeks stay. Terrace was a bonus. We felt safe in the area.
Lift was there very useful if you have pram or lots of luggage.
Easy to get to place from airport ( take airport bus which goes through centre and literally just waits outside arrival area and cost €4).

What could be improved: Neighbour downstairs was complaining about the noise non stop (our toddler usual activities like playing was a problem for him 🙈 ).

  • Kari from Finland – 19 October 2023 (8/10)

Location was excellent easy to walk to main sights. Triana was great and we had very local feeling when hearing claps of flaminco practise in the same street. The terrace was peaceful and sunny. The apartment offered the required facilities.

What could be improved: The whole studio was a bit shabby and there was very limited storage space for clothes. The bed was very small for two and had only one, though very long pillow, which was very uncomfortable.

  • Davo from United Kingdom – 7 May 2025 (8/10)

2nd stay there. En el corazon de Triana. Nuff said ❤️😎

    What could be improved: Nada.

  • Davo from United Kingdom – 21 April 2023 (8/10)

A very clean apartment with everything you need to cook is provided. It had a comfortable bed and a fantastic terrace that was very nice to relax and unwind on enjoying the 🌞.

    What could be improved: Nada!

  • Vicentebp from Spain – 28 April 2025 (9/10)

La ubicación, excelente. Y la terraza del apartamento, casi pasamos más tiempo en la terraza que dentro del apartamento

  • Laurent from France – 9 January 2025 (9/10)

Tout est très bien. Merci beaucoup

  • Vanesa from Spain – 8 September 2024 (8/10)

Lo mejor sin duda la ubicación, súper cerca de todo para pasear y la terraza a mi hija le encantó.

What could be improved: La cama del sillón era bastante incómoda.
