Hotel Description
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked into Triana Sky View – honestly, the name sounds a bit generic for a Seville hotel. But man, was I wrong. The moment you step out onto that rooftop terrace, you get why they called it “Sky View.” I mean, you’re literally looking across the Guadalquivir at the Torre del Oro and the whole cathedral skyline. It’s one of those views that makes you stop mid-conversation and just… stare.
The location is actually perfect if you want to experience the real Seville without being stuck in the tourist bubble across the river. Plaza del Altozano is right there – you can hear the street performers some evenings, but it’s not obnoxious loud. What I loved is that you’re a two-minute walk from the Triana Market (go early, trust me), and honestly, some of the best tapas bars in the city are practically on your doorstep. Calle Betis is right there along the river, though it gets pretty rowdy on weekend nights if you’re a light sleeper – just saying. The rooms facing the plaza are quieter, actually.
The hotel itself feels more like a boutique place than your typical 4-star chain. The lobby’s got this modern Andalusian thing going on – not too precious, just clean lines with some traditional touches. Check-in was smooth, and the staff actually knew the neighborhood when I asked about where to get good churros (it’s Bar Manuela, by the way, about three blocks down). The rooms are well-designed – nothing huge, but everything works. The AC is solid, which matters when you’re dealing with Seville summers, and the beds are actually comfortable. I’ve stayed in too many European hotels where the mattresses feel like cardboard, but this wasn’t one of them.
What really sold me, though, was stepping out in the morning with my coffee and watching the city wake up. You’ve got the bridge right there – people jogging, tourists starting their cathedral tours, locals heading to work. It’s like having a front-row seat to daily Seville life, but from this elevated perspective that makes everything look cinematic. The breakfast spread is decent too – nothing fancy, but proper jamón ibérico and fresh bread, which is really all you need before wandering around all day.
If I’m being completely honest, the only downside is parking – it’s Triana, so street parking is a nightmare, and the nearest garage is a bit of a walk. But if you’re flying in or taking the train, forget about it. The airport bus stops nearby, and you can walk to pretty much everything worth seeing. Actually, that might be the best part – you feel like you’re staying in a real neighborhood instead of some sanitized hotel district. The ceramic workshops are still here, old ladies chat on their balconies, and you’ll smell amazing food coming from random doorways. It’s Seville the way it actually is, not the way the guidebooks package it.

Perfect position once we found it. Easy to find the square but the numbers do not follow in any order
What could be improved: It was quite noisy but it was Feria week so I assume this wouldn’t normally be a problem. Loved it anywayMarcel from United Kingdom – 31 March 2025 (9/10)
What could be improved: Better pillows

Amazing location right in the middle of everything. Beautiful terrace and quiet for being right in the middle of everything.

Perfect location and great balconies. Access to the roof terrace was a great bonus.
What could be improved: It was great.Jane from United Kingdom – 21 March 2024 (10/10)
The location was perfect, across the river from the main sites and a 10 minute walk into the centre. My friend and I hired bikes (there’s a station just outside the property and you can do all this by app)
The property inside was super, a gorgeous balcony where we sat and had breakfast each morning in the sunshine, with views over the river and watching the hustle and bustle of the pretty streets below.
I would like to give a shout out to our lovely host Maria. She was so helpful and responsive by message. Gave us lots of recommendations.
What could be improved: Only one comment for improvement and that is that it would have been good to know what to do with the recycling (bottles and cans) and if there could be a separate box for this.Julie from United States – 26 February 2024 (8/10)
The views from the pretty are fabulous and the location is ideal. The bathroom had enough room and the kitchen did too.
What could be improved: There were absolutely no basics. No salt, pepper, paper towels, laundry detergent, olive oil, body soap/wash, exactly two tiny coffee pods per person… also the checkin was difficult because you have to meet them in person, which means you have to coordinate arrival time. In our case they were 20 minutes late arriving so we had to stand on the street with all of our luggage waiting, and they had given us the wrong address (they said house number 14 but it was 13). The views and location are great, but this was our most expensive stay in Spain and we expected MUCH more in the way of amenities. Also, the stairs are no joke. Heed the reviews. 60-ish stairs to the top I believe. No assistance with luggage.Laura from United Kingdom – 15 January 2024 (10/10)
Stunning location and views from the balcony. Comfortable apartment and extremely helpful hosts who responded quickly to messages.
What could be improved: It is top floor which gives it the incredible views, just be aware you need to use stairs to reach the apartment.Ma from United Kingdom – 4 January 2023 (10/10)
Lovely location bright sunny balcony from sunrise to sunset. Although the apartment is on the third floor the stairs were not a problem. Triana is a great location and 20 minutes walk to the busy city centre.
What could be improved: TV switched itself on at 1am every night. Maybe previous guest had set alarm but we didn't get the chance to find out why.Karen from United States – 5 October 2022 (10/10)
Very comfortable. Clean. Safe. It is in a very active area but very quiet with dual pane windows and shutters for dark rooms if you want that. Super close to anything you will need. About 30 minute walk to the cathedral and palace and Plaza Espana. Nice view of the river. The Triana Market is below and you can find the most exquisite vegetables, fruits, fish, cheese, etc. Bedding was very cozy and soft and comfortable. Host was there to meet us, show us the apartment, help with luggage and any questions. Excellent air conditioning.
What could be improved: It is 4 floors up without elevator. Just in case this is an issue for you. But you are on the top so no noise above you.Meryl from New Zealand – 3 August 2022 (9/10)
lovely apartment with views from gorgeous balconies. It is on the street that crosses the bridge and on the other side there is a pedestrianized street with lots of shops and cafes, below the apartment also is a food market.
What could be improved: we weren't given the street address of the property and had to wait a long time in 40 plus heat for this, we couldn't contact the owner via booking.com. Please make sure you get this as the property isn't quite on the piazza as you would expect, don't think the numbers were sequential on the square either.
