Hotel Description
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked up to the Triana Star – honestly, the name sounds a bit cheesy, doesn’t it? But this little four-star gem on Calle Salado completely won me over. The thing is, most people think they need to stay right in the historic center to “do” Seville properly, but being in Triana is actually way better. You’re literally across the river from all the main sights, but you get to experience the neighborhood where actual sevillanos hang out.
The hotel itself has this quietly confident vibe – not trying too hard to impress, but everything just works. The lobby’s got these beautiful Andalusian tiles (I mean, you’d expect that in Seville, but these are particularly nice), and honestly, the staff knows their stuff. They’ll tell you which tapas bars to hit on Calle Betis without sounding like they’re reading from a script, and – this is key – they actually understand that sometimes you just want to sleep in without someone knocking on your door at 9 AM asking about housekeeping. The rooms are what you’d call properly comfortable rather than flashy. Good AC (trust me, you’ll need it if you’re visiting May through September), decent-sized bathrooms, and windows that actually keep the street noise out. Speaking of which, Calle Salado is pretty quiet for being so central to Triana’s action – you can walk to the Saturday market at Plaza del Altozano in about three minutes, but you won’t hear party noise all night.
What really makes this place special though is the location knowledge you get just by staying here. The reception folks will steer you toward places like Las Golondrinas for breakfast (better than anything touristy across the river) or tell you the best times to cross the Puente de Isabel II without getting stuck behind tour groups. There’s this whole rhythm to Triana that you miss if you’re just passing through – the ceramics workshops tucked down side streets, the way the riverfront comes alive around sunset, how different it feels from the more polished Barrio Santa Cruz. I actually ended up spending way more time just wandering around the neighborhood than I planned, which… well, that’s probably the point. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the elevator’s a bit slow, but honestly, that’s pretty standard for European hotels that aren’t brand new. And if you’re driving, there’s decent parking nearby – not at the hotel itself, but the staff knows where to send you, and it’s not one of those nightmare situations where you’re circling for an hour.
Look, Seville has plenty of hotels, and sure, you could stay somewhere fancier or more Instagram-worthy. But if you want to actually feel like you’re experiencing the city rather than just checking boxes, the Triana Star gets it right. It’s that sweet spot where you’re comfortable enough to properly relax, but you’re also positioned to stumble into all the good stuff that makes Seville worth visiting in the first place.

Location and confort
What could be improved: People in other rooms moving furniture around in the early hours, 00.30. No light switches next to the bed and only one bedside tableKarina from Finland – 24 October 2024 (9/10)

Proprietari molto gentili, comunicazioni facili. E' situato in un complesso con portiere h24 molto tranquillo, con tanti ristoranti, bar e supermeracato nelle vicinanze.
What could be improved: la pulizia in alcuni punti è migliorabile (es dentro al frigorifero) ma nulla di particolarmente grave.María from Spain – 11 February 2025 (7/10)
Un apartamento muy coqueto q cuenta con todo lo q necesitas
What could be improved: La pequeña nevera q tiene no funcionaba bien y se estropearon varias cosas
