Hotel Description
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked down Calle Lepanto – it’s one of those narrow streets in Seville’s old town that looks pretty unremarkable from the outside. But VAC Luxury Home is actually tucked away in exactly the kind of spot you’d want to find if you knew the city well. You’re literally a three-minute walk from the Cathedral (I timed it), but far enough off the main tourist drag that you won’t hear groups of people clomping past your window at all hours.
The thing that struck me right away was how they’ve managed to keep that authentic Sevillian feel without making you feel like you’re staying in a museum. The building itself has those gorgeous high ceilings you expect in this part of town, but the rooms are surprisingly modern – I mean, the AC actually works, which is no small thing when you’re visiting in summer. What I really appreciated was the attention to detail that you don’t always get at four-star places. The beds are properly comfortable (not those rock-hard European mattresses that leave you aching), and there’s actually decent water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in these old buildings. The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood too – they pointed me toward this little tapas place on Calle Alemanes that I never would have found otherwise, and it ended up being one of my best meals in the city.
Location-wise, you’re in that sweet spot where you can walk everywhere that matters but still feel like you’re experiencing the real Seville rather than just the postcard version. The Alcázar is maybe a seven-minute walk, but you’re also close to those winding streets around Calle Mateos Gago where locals actually hang out. I loved that I could grab morning coffee at the little café on the corner – the owner started recognizing me after day two, which always makes a place feel more like home. The only minor thing I’d mention is that like most places in the old town, there’s no parking right at the hotel, but there’s a public garage about a five-minute walk away if you’re driving. The whole area gets pretty quiet after 10 PM, which was perfect for me, though if you’re looking for late-night action you might want to venture toward the riverfront. What really sets this place apart is that they’ve figured out how to give you that luxury experience without the stuffiness – you know what I mean? You feel taken care of without feeling like you’re being handled. For the price point and that location, it’s honestly hard to beat.

Location in a quiet safe area ~2 min walk to las Setas and ~10 mins to other key tourist sites). Lots of local shops, bars and restaurants close by and full of locals as opposed tourists which we loved to get that true ‘Sevilla’ experience.
Room spotless with comfortable beds and crisp linen and fluffy bath towels provided. Rooftop pool was a welcome bonus to cool down – we arrived during a particularly hot period (46ºC one day). Host was extremely helpful & responsive to any questions we had and also allowed us to store luggage on our day of departure. They also provide some free snacks and water in the room which was a nice touch.
What could be improved: Whilst the rooftop terrace and our room’s
private terrace were a welcome bonus the furniture in each was looking a little tired and could benefit from being re-painted. However it didn’t detract from our experience and certainly wouldn’t deter us from returning to the property. One last thing to be mindful of if you have mobility issues – there is no lift in property.Anna from Russia – 2 June 2025 (8/10)
Everything is perfect! Pilar is great, so helpful and hospitable. In the room you will find everything you need: bath stuff, snacks, drinks. Location is really good, in the center but in peaceful street. And design of all interior is amazing.

The property was beautifully decorated with a fantastic plunge pool on the roof terrace to cool down in the later afternoon.
Our chosen room meant we did have to climb the stairs to the third floor but when reaching the room, hidden away on the terrace, we were pleasantly surprised by the design and tranquility of its location. With easy access to the rooftop and the bedroom positioned on a lower level, we slept comfortably without disturbance and had a great vantage point to dip in and out of the pool as we wished. The location is ideal with everything within a walking distance but still quietly tucked away along a side street.
Thank you for your kindness and hospitality, we would love to return one day!Anthony from United Kingdom – 25 May 2025 (9/10)
This is a beautiful traditional house converted into apartments, right in the centre of Sevilla. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed including food for breakfast.
What could be improved: The pool is lovely but could benefit from a clean.Lisa from United States – 21 May 2025 (9/10)
No breakfast on property but plenty of good options within walking distance. The keys were a problem in that they were left in the room doors and so someone took the room we were first booked into. The property switched us and upgraded our room on the 2nd and 3rd nights. The plunge pool and terrace were a bonus after long days walking.
What could be improved: Just the key mixup.Ashley from Spain – 20 May 2025 (8/10)
Everything fantastic. The attention to details was really noted. The bedding was of very high quality and the selections of pillows ideal. We really enjoyed the breakfast/snack/ mini bar they had set up. It even included lomo. Our room was very spacious and the bathroom as well was very large. If you like the feel of vintage/classic decor with modern amenities this is the hotel for you. It was great having a small terrace to escape to if you wanted some fresh air without having to leave the building. They also have the option of leaving your luggage if you have already checked out but have a later departure time via train or plane and want to spend a little more time enjoying the city without hauling your suitcase with you everywhere. Another thing that really made our time here very enjoyable and comfortable is the fact that they have sound proofed the walls. We didn’t even notice there were any other guest staying in the hotel and there were because it was the week of the Feria de Abril. I high recommend this hotel.
What could be improved: Everything great.Gillian from Australia – 12 May 2025 (8/10)
Loved the location, it was close to shops and small little bars and restaurants but away from the main tourist area. It was in walking distance of the river, cathedral and bull ring.
What could be improved: The villa was very comfortable and reasonably private but it was a little dark as the only light coming in was from a tiny patio that included a window to somebody else's room. So the curtains on to the patio were drawn all the time.
