You know, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first turned onto Calle Alhóndiga – honestly, the narrow cobblestone streets in Seville’s old town can feel like a maze when you’re dragging luggage. But Veoapartment Alhóndiga Segundo surprised me right from the start. The building has this understated elegance that fits perfectly with the historic neighborhood, and you can actually hear the cathedral bells from here, which sounds touristy but is genuinely lovely when you’re having morning coffee on the balcony.
What really struck me about this place is how they’ve managed to blend modern apartment living with the authentic feel of old Seville. The rooms are spacious – I mean, actually spacious, not that cramped European standard you sometimes get – and the kitchenette setup is perfect if you want to grab some jamón ibérico and local cheese from the market instead of eating out every meal. The air conditioning works properly too, which… well, if you’ve been to Seville in summer, you know that’s not always a given. I stayed during the April Fair season and could walk to the Real Alcázar in about eight minutes, though you’ll want to book those tickets ahead because the lines get absolutely insane. The staff seems to actually live in the city rather than just work there, so they give you those insider tips like which tapas bars the locals hit up after 10 PM and where to find parking that won’t cost you a fortune.
Here’s what sold me on the place – it’s tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the constant tourist foot traffic and late-night noise from the main drags, but you’re still walking distance from everything that matters. The Santa Cruz quarter is literally around the corner, and there’s this little grocery store two streets over that stays open late when you inevitably realize you need bottled water or forgot to pack something essential. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the apartment (tested it thoroughly while working remotely for a few days), and the shower pressure is surprisingly good for an older building. I mean, the 9.1 rating makes sense when you experience the attention to detail – even down to having proper hangers in the closet instead of those flimsy wire things. If you’re planning to explore beyond Seville, the location makes it easy to catch buses or trains, though honestly, you might find yourself wanting to stay put and just soak up the neighborhood vibe.

Brilliant location, 20 minutes from the rail station and local bus stops 5 minutes away. 20 minutes to the major city sites. Fairly well equipped with very comfy beds and a functional kitchen, with dinner helpful basics including olive oil, balsamic, salt and coffee. Adjacent to a secondary school and we liked the sounds of happy kids from the sports yard. A bit of a thoroughfare, so sometimes noisy at night, but this is a central city location and we still slept with the windows open without a problem. Lots of good bars and restaurants with reliable recommendations from the owner. Would benefit from fixing the main entrance lock (tricky to get that to turn), a new hob so the temperature lights work, and smoke alarms. But would stay again and we are happy to recommend it.

This was a perfect location in the heart of downtown Sevilla! All of the must-see sites were within short walking distance. The elevator was very helpful as well us having a washing machine. Spacious and decorated nicely with nice bathroom. Great place to stay!

Great location, in the centre of Seville, but also in a quiet neighbourhood. Very spacious apartment, perfectly equipped and very comfortable. Bus stop, lockers and supermarket very close to the apartment. We had an amazing stay!

great location for accessing everything the city has to offer. very clean the flat and stairwells. good size. comfy beds. fab little bar just opposite the front door owner loves his jazz music but not open late.

Posición privilegiada, centrica y al mismo tiempo tranquila. El piso es cómodo y acogedor. Todo el edificio es nuevo, está reformado y con ascensor nuevo. Además nos dejaron entrar antes ya que el piso estaba libre.
