You know what struck me first about Veoapartment Angeles 1E? The address basically tells you everything – you’re right on Calle Ángeles in the heart of Seville’s old town, and honestly, you can’t get much more central than this without sleeping in the cathedral itself. I mean, when I say old town, I’m talking about those narrow cobblestone streets where you can practically touch the buildings on both sides if you stretch your arms out, and the whole area just smells like orange blossoms and centuries of history.
The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious for being tucked into this medieval maze – I was expecting something cramped, but it actually feels like someone took a traditional Sevillan building and thoughtfully converted it without losing that authentic character. The 1E part of the name refers to the first floor (which is actually the second floor if you’re American, because Europeans are weird about counting floors), and there’s something really satisfying about having those thick old walls that keep the place cool even when it’s blazing hot outside. Speaking of which, the AC works great – crucial detail if you’re visiting in summer when Seville turns into an actual oven. The furnishings hit that sweet spot between modern comfort and local style, nothing too fancy but everything you need, and the kitchen is well-equipped enough that you could actually cook if you wanted to, though honestly with all the tapas bars within a two-minute walk, why would you?
What really makes this place special though is how it puts you right in the thick of things without the tourist trap feeling. You’re literally walking distance from the Alcázar and the cathedral – I’m talking like a genuine five-minute stroll – but because you’re on a residential street rather than a main thoroughfare, you get to see how locals actually live. Early mornings, you’ll hear the fruit vendor calling out his prices, and evenings bring this lovely hum of conversation from the little bars tucked into every corner. The area does get lively at night (it’s Spain, after all), but the apartment’s windows are solid enough that it never felt overwhelming. Parking is basically impossible on the street itself, but there’s a public garage about three blocks away – just factor that into your budget if you’re driving. Check-in was smooth, and the host clearly knows the neighborhood well; they gave me a hand-drawn map with all their personal recommendations marked out, which ended up being way more useful than any guidebook. The 9 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not luxury-hotel perfect, but it’s exactly what you want from a Seville base: authentic, comfortable, and positioned so you can stumble home from dinner without needing GPS.

A superbly located apartment! Right in the centre and seconds away from the sights and tapas restaurants. Lots of storage in the bedrooms, which was great for unpacking. Cannot fault it and would recommend to anyone.

Excellent location in a pedestrians only zone. Many bars a cafés just outside the door. Just a few minutes walk from the Cathedral. All windows facing interior courtyard . No street noise. The only thing you hear with the windows open are occasional church bells or the occasional sirens from police or ambulance cars. You receive two sets of keys at check-in.
What could be improved: The only thing i didn't like was the big heavy main entrance door to the building. You have to push very hard to get the door open completely because the bottom of the door is dragging across the floor and once the door is open it is stuck in position and you have to use a lot of energy to pull the door closed again. If you are older or have weak arms it is a bit of a problem each time coming and going.
