Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about Veoapartment San Lorenzo? Walking up to this place on Calle Juan Rabadán, I honestly expected another cookie-cutter apartment rental – but this spot actually gets it right. The building itself has that classic Sevillian charm without trying too hard, and you’re literally a three-minute walk from the Cathedral’s towering presence. I mean, you can hear the bells from your window, which sounds romantic until you realize they chime every quarter hour (light sleeper, take note).

The apartments themselves feel like someone’s stylish friend designed them – not some corporate committee. The kitchens are actually functional, which is rare in these historic conversions, and the bathrooms have proper water pressure. What really sold me though was stepping out onto Calle Juan Rabadán in the evening. This little street comes alive after sunset with locals heading to tapas bars, and you’re positioned perfectly between the touristy spots and the real Seville. Plaza del Salvador is right around the corner – that’s where you’ll find some of the best impromptu flamenco performances, by the way. The Metropol Parasol (locals still call it Las Setas) is a quick stroll north, but honestly, the real magic happens when you wander south toward the river or get lost in the maze of streets around Calle Sierpes.

What impressed me most was how the place manages to feel authentically Sevillian while still having modern touches that actually work. The air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train, the Wi-Fi reaches every corner, and – this is crucial in Seville’s summer heat – the shutters block out light completely for those afternoon siestas. The staff runs things smoothly without being overly formal, and they genuinely know the neighborhood. They pointed me toward a tiny bar on Calle Pérez Galdós that I never would’ve found otherwise, where the montaditos are about half the price of anywhere near the Cathedral. Parking can be tricky in this part of the old town (well, it’s tricky everywhere in Seville), but there’s a decent underground garage about two blocks away on Calle Laraña. The 9.2 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Seville, but it nails what most travelers actually want: a comfortable base in an unbeatable location where you feel like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it.

    Lovely terrace and plunge pool

    Amazing apartment with impressive air-conditioning, comfortable beds and fabulous patio and plunge pool. There's also a washing machine so you can pack light. The residential area was very quiet which meant you weren't kept awake by neighbours, other holiday makers partying into the early hours.. 20 minute walk to the centre of Seville and super restuarants close by. Carrefour Express a two minute walk from the apartment. Highly recommend the apartment for a relaxing holiday. Will certainly be returning.

    Great location, lovely employees, clean apartment, beautifully decorated. Just as described!

    What could be improved: the pillows provided on the bed were very hard. There was only a couple of toilet rolls provided, not enough for the period of time we had booked to stay (had to buy our own).

    The location was fabulous. About a 20 minute walk to the cathedral, with lots of things to see nearby. Supermarkets were within easy reach and there was a fantastic little tapas bar about a 5 minute walk away called San Lorenzo, which we loved!
    The air conditioning and the outside plunge pool made a July trip very manageable despite the 40C heat, and the terrace made the long evenings really lovely. The pool isn't really for swimming in so much as just sitting, but there is a communal pool in the apartment complex which you can use, albeit with stricter rules of use.
    Beds were really comfy and the apartment was perfect for a 5 day trip. It's worth noting that the upstairs room doesn't have a door, so if you're in the upstairs room you can hear what's going on in the living room. This wasn't a problem for us as we all went to bed at around the same time, but might be useful to know for another group!
    The Veoapartment team were super helpful – we mainly used the messenger service on Booking.com.

    Great position. Good check in with helpful staff. Clean. Lovely outdoor area and small pool with great view. Very small but adequate cooking space.

    What could be improved: Upstairs bedroom up winding circular staircase. Bed very small, hard and moved every time we moved. Not enough lounge space for 4 people

    The apartment was clean, well equipped and in a convenient location, within walking distance of the centre

    What could be improved: The terrace faces north, so the area of the terrace that contains the pool only gets morning sun, so the pool does not get chance to warm up and we found it very cold. The photos of the pool in full sun must have been taken in the early morning.
    The photos of the seating area on the terrace are also misleading as the back of the terrace has been blocked of with locked sliding panels, which stop any afternoon sun. We did ask for the panels to be unlocked but this was refused. After late morning there was no sun on the terrace.
    We booked this apartment at the end of a fantastic tour of southern Spain, hoping not only to see the sights of Seville, but to relax and sunbathe with the occasional dip in the pool to cool off. Sadly we were not able to enjoy sunbathing and the couple of dips in the pool were a bit too cooling!!!
    The following points are down to personal preference, but we found the upstairs bed extremely uncomfortable and all the pillows very hard and uncomfortable
