Honestly, when I first walked up to Vista Catedral on Calle Rodrigo Caro, I thought I might have the wrong address – the entrance is pretty understated for a 4-star place. But that’s actually what I love about this spot. It’s tucked right into the fabric of Seville’s old town without screaming “tourist hotel” at every passerby walking toward the cathedral.

The location is, well, kind of ridiculous in the best way. You’re literally two minutes from the cathedral’s main entrance, which means you can slip out early morning or late evening when the tour groups aren’t swarming around. I mean, staying this close to the Giralda tower, you’ll hear the bells – but honestly, after the first night it becomes this gentle reminder that you’re sleeping in the heart of one of Europe’s most beautiful cities. The narrow streets here can get a bit echo-y with foot traffic during peak hours, but by 10 PM it’s surprisingly peaceful. What really got me was how the staff knew the neighborhood inside and out – they pointed me toward this tiny tapas place on Calle Mateos Gago that I never would have found otherwise, and suggested the best times to visit the Alcázar to avoid crowds (spoiler: right when it opens).

The rooms themselves feel more boutique than chain hotel, if you know what I mean. There’s this attention to detail that you don’t always get – good water pressure, blackout curtains that actually work, and air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a jet engine. Some of the rooms have these little wrought-iron balconies overlooking the street, and while they’re not huge, there’s something magical about having your morning coffee while watching the city wake up below. The 8.8 rating makes sense once you’re there a day or two – it’s those small things that add up, like how the front desk always seemed to have solid recommendations and never made you feel rushed. Parking can be tricky in this part of the old town (I mean, most of these streets were built for horses, not cars), but they work with a garage just a few blocks away, and the desk staff will walk you through the whole process without making you feel like an idiot for driving in Seville’s historic center. You’re also within easy walking distance of the Triana bridge and the river, which gives you a nice escape route when the old town feels a bit too intense – sometimes you just need to breathe by the water, you know?

  Location ! Location ! Location. The pictures do all the justice . Right in the heart of the city and walking distance from all key sites
  The host is amazing and very accommodative which made our stay very pleasant. Amenities are top notch
  
  What could be improved: The access to the site can be tricky. Don’t put google address if you are driving , it will take you through extremely narrow streets of the old town , where driving is impossible for outsiders.
  Instead use Alacazar address for reaching this place .

  Was a lovely property – with a lift excellent value – beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches like coffee for coffee machine, hair dryer, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner- a stones throw from the cathedral with lovely views of the old town and cathedral. Several balconies. Would definitely stay again – amazing value for a three bedroom property in such a great position.

Very difficult seeing number codes in the dark and switches for exit downstairs look like light switches so just need a few more hints for guests from other countries even though it appears that an idiot should be able to sort themselves if local. 🤣

  The location was amazing! Minutes away from everything Seville has to offer! The area is busy and alive.
  
  What could be improved: The streets are loud in the morning as the restaurants open for the day. Overall it was not an issue as we wake early but it could be an issue for others.
