Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Seville, and this apartment on Calle Moratin honestly surprised me. The name “Wide with beautiful kitchen” sounds a bit odd – I mean, who names a place like that? – but it’s actually pretty accurate. When you walk in, the first thing that hits you is how spacious everything feels, which is rare for Old Town properties where most places are cramped converted buildings from the 1800s.

The kitchen is genuinely gorgeous, and I say this as someone who usually just microwaves leftovers when traveling. We’re talking marble countertops, proper appliances that actually work, and enough space to spread out if you’re the type who likes to hit Mercado de la Encarnación and cook with local ingredients. The whole place has this modern feel that somehow doesn’t clash with being right in the historic center – you know how some renovations just feel wrong? This isn’t one of those. The two bedrooms are properly sized (not those joke “bedrooms” where you bump into walls), and honestly, having three full bathrooms was a game-changer when we had friends visiting. No morning lineup, no awkward scheduling.

What really sells this place though is the location without being touristy-location, if that makes sense. Calle Moratin puts you right in the thick of things – you can walk to the Cathedral in maybe eight minutes, hit up Alameda de Hércules for evening drinks, or wander down to the river without breaking a sweat. But here’s the thing locals know: this particular street doesn’t get the crazy foot traffic that, say, Calle Sierpes gets. You’re close enough to everything but far enough from the tour groups that you can actually sleep at night. The building itself is typical Sevillian – beautiful old facade, narrow staircase (it’s Escalera A, first floor right), and thick walls that keep things cool during those brutal summer months. Parking is… well, it’s Old Town Seville, so forget about street parking, but there’s a decent garage about three blocks away on Calle Adriano if you’re driving. The 9.5 rating makes sense once you’re there – everything just works properly, the WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes like so many places, and the check-in was smooth. My only tiny complaint? The building entrance is a bit tricky to spot at night, but that’s more about Seville’s charming but confusing street numbering than anything wrong with the place itself.

    Apartment was within walking distance of tourist sites, restaurants and shopping. A MAS supermarket is located nearby and we dropped by nearly daily to buy stuff. Apartment was very comfortable and kitchen was well used by us. Only thing we would suggest is to provide more floor towels for the bathroom as the water would flow out when showering and causing a bit of a mess. Oh and hostess Alejandro was very helpful. Met us on arrival and showed up when we left and assisted to order a taxi to the airport for us. Thanks.

    We liked everything about this apartment. It was clean. The kitchen was exceptionally well-furnished. the beds were good.
    The rooms and kitchen were large and uncluttered. It felt airy and modern. The garage for parking could accommodate a mid-sized car.
